Patrick Mahomes usually deals with kids very gently in the same way he would treat his own three children. That does not mean he has to fulfill every request that comes his way.

Footage from the American Century Championship at Lake Tahoe showed Mahomes losing his cool while dealing with a helicopter parent. The father of a boy kept pestering the Kansas City Chiefs‘ quarterback for an autograph while he concentrated on his golf swings.

I can’t make everybody happy.

Patrick Mahomes said

No, you can, you can just make one kid happy out of 100,” the father of the boy replied instantly.

Mahomes responded by suggesting that if he signed an autograph for his son, many others would also come with the same request, and he would end up signing autographs all day.

It’s not every day a child gets to meet Patrick Mahomes, so of course, they would want to collect a souvenir.

Mahomes has every right to refuse. When the 29-year-old calmly expressed his discontent to the boy’s father, the father should have respected his request instead of escalating the situation. Fortunately, the video is almost two years old, so the issue is now in the past.

Analyst makes a bold Patrick Mahomes prediction that Chiefs will not like

Mahomes’ rise as the next GOAT of football is undeniable, and even if Ben Roethlisberger believes it or not, he might overtake Aaron Rodgers at some point as one of the best players to ever play the quarterback spot.

Mahomes has led the Chiefs to five Super Bowls before turning 30, winning three of them along with bagging three MVP accolades. Despite the overall dominance in the AFC and the entire NFL, Mahomes’ form has declined over the last two years. His passer rating went from 105 in 2022 during the league MVP season to below 94 in the following two campaigns.

Mark Schlereth claimed that Mahomes will continue to decline in the upcoming years, eventually handing over the reins to the Chiefs’ divisional rivals, the Los Angeles Chargers.

The team in the AFC West with the best chance to take down the Chiefs this year? My answer may surprise you. I’m gonna go, no, I’m actually gonna go with the Chargers.

Mark Schlereth said in a recent segment of FS1’s Breakfast Ball

The retired Broncos legend predicted that his former team would improve, but the Chargers’ roster is assembled to win championships.

[Chargers] won 11 games last season. You know, I look at their roster—they went out and got Mekhi Becton—I love Ladd McConkey, I love him as a receiver [and] I think Justin Herbert is outstanding. I don’t think he’s been coached exceptionally well until last year [by Jim Harbaugh].

Perhaps Schlereth forgot to research that the Chargers are currently on a losing streak against the Chiefs. Their last win against Kansas City came in September 2021.

Meanwhile, Yahoo Sports‘ Nate Tice released a list revealing their top 10 quarterbacks going into the 2025 NFL season. Despite the decline, Mahomes took pole position, followed by Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Herbert, Matthew Stafford, Jordan Love, Dak Prescott, Trevor Lawrence, and CJ Stroud.

2025 is already shaping up to be an interesting season. Mahomes and the Chiefs are looking to bounce back from their Super Bowl defeat, while the Philadelphia Eagles are aiming to solidify their legacy by defending their Lombardi Trophy. Elsewhere, Cam Ward will play his first snaps in pro football, while Aaron Rodgers potentially plays his last.
