Ludwig Kaiser aka El Grande Americano was arrested on battery charges this past Wednesday in Orange County, Florida. An affidavit filed by Richard Reap, the identified victim, alleged that he was punched multiple times by Kaiser after telling him and the accompanying lady to have some manners over them getting uncontrollably intimate in the elevator they were in.
The affidavit mentioned that responding officers reviewed security footage that showed a white male punching and pushing the complainant outside the elevator. As per Reap, he entered the elevator at about 1830 hours and was followed by the aforementioned couple. As it ascended, the couple started kissing each other aggressively.

The victim said he got out of the elevator once it reached the 12th floor and, on his way out, told the couple to have some manners. Reap stated that what immediately ensued was him getting battered by the white male. The responding officer observed a fresh scratch and redness on the back of Reap’s head.
The attacker was eventually identified as Ludwig Kaiser in a 6-person photographic lineup on the evening of the incident, which happened almost a month ago on April 23. The investigating officers charged the WWE wrestler for simple battery. Kaiser was reportedly aware of the warrant back on May 19 while he was in Mexico for AAA. He turned himself in on Wednesday after a warrant had indeed been issued.
Kaiser was ordered to have no contact with the victim or witnesses. He had a supervised return to his apartment accompanied by law enforcement. It’s worth noting that Kaiser and Reap are fellow residents of the Orlando apartment complex. Ludwig Kaiser was ultimately released on a $1000 bond and later submitted a written plea of not guilty.
Attorneys for Ludwig Kaiser filed a motion this morning in Orange County requesting he receive permission to travel freely despite his arrest.

His attorneys have also filed a request to allow the 35-year-old wrestler free travel with his massive Mask vs. Mask match with Chad Gable aka the original El Grande Americano, slated for May 30. Kaiser’s attorneys noted that their client doesn’t have a criminal record and that he flew back from Mexico to turn himself in immediately upon learning of a warrant against him.
Ludwig Kaiser reportedly didn’t condone ICE remark for his girlfriend
The founder and former president of Wrestling Inc., Raj Giri, has revealed a different account of the alteration involving Ludwig Kaiser and his fellow apartment resident last month. Giri heard that the unidentified white woman with Kaiser in the elevator was none other than his current girlfriend Andrea Bazarte.

The couple was being affectionate “but nothing crazy or out of the ordinary,” which is heavily inconsistent with what was mentioned in the affidavit. Richard Reap, the alleged victim, got out of the elevator on the 12th floor and reportedly demanded some respect and even threatened to call the ICE on that woman, for whom Reap allegedly used a derogatory word.
This is what I heard regarding the Ludwig Kaiser situation. He was in the apartment elevator with Andrea Bazarte and they were being affectionate, but nothing crazy or out of the ordinary.

Ludwig Kaiser, consequently, got out of the elevator and had a “little scuffle” but did not throw any punches at the complainant. If this side of the story is to be believed, the former member of the Imperium stood up for his girlfriend by not putting up with what Reap said.
There’s currently no update on WWE’s internal reaction to this situation and how it’d affect Ludwig Kaiser’s future in the company, considering he was enjoying unrelenting success as El Grande Americano over in AAA.
While his highly anticipated Mask vs. Mask showdown with the Original El Grande Americano is still expected to go on, the surfacing of this incident merely days before that mega clash isn’t a good look for Kaiser at all. It would be interesting to see what ramifications it’ll have on his standing within WWE.
