- Ludwig Kaiser was arrested in Florida for battery after an altercation with a fellow resident regarding his girlfriend.
- Reports suggest that a story about Kaiser defending his girlfriend from ICE threats was planted within WWE.
- Kaiser is set to legally travel during his ongoing case and is not expected to face disciplinary action from WWE.
Ludwig Kaiser recently made headlines for getting arrested in Florida on charges of battery pressed by his fellow apartment resident. The victim alleged Kaiser threw punches at him for not condoning the wrestler’s aggressive intimacy with his female partner, who was later identified as Kaiser’s girlfriend, Andrea Bazarte.
A story then started making the rounds that the complainant had threatened to call the ICE on that woman. It prompted a scuffle between Kaiser and the plaintiff, but no punches were reportedly thrown, as per Raj Giri‘s account of the incident. Fightful is now reporting that the story about Ludwig Kaiser defending himself and his girlfriend from ICE remarks was planted within WWE.

The outlet noted that neither Kaiser or Bazarte nor anyone from WWE’s team reached out with the aforementioned turn of events. It was previously revealed that the attorneys for the superstar currently under the masked guise of El Grande Americano filed a motion requesting free travel for the wrestler.
Judge Cameron signed off to approve a motion that’ll allow Marcel Barthel (El Grande Americano/Ludwig Kaiser) to travel within the USA and internationally for the duration of the case.

The judge presiding over the case against the WWE wrestler signed off on it this Tuesday to approve the request. He’s now legally entitled to travel both within the US and internationally for the duration of the ongoing case. While there was an initial trepidation among his fans that Kaiser will face disciplinary action from WWE over his arrest, that doesn’t appear to be the case, as per False Finish.

He also received the backing of JBL, who vouched for the real-life Marcel Barthel not being a hothead. The WWE Hall of Famer said on Something to Wrestle podcast that the victim must’ve warranted himself a beating if that actually happened. Layfield said he’s seen enough altercations in his life to conclude that the involved parties always deviate from the truth in such matters.
Ludwig Kaiser is just a few sleeps away from taking on the Original El Grande Americano in a Mask vs. Mask showdown at Noche de Los Grandes on May 30. The fans in Mexico City organized a serenade for their hero a week before that all-important match. El Grande Americano was almost moved to tears seeing the downpour of love at the ‘Serenata for El Grande Americano’ event last week.

El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser) gets his mural painted ahead of Mask vs. Mask showdown
The unrelenting success story that Ludwig Kaiser has become by living under the guise of El Grande Americano has the wrestling fans in shock. They believe that the gimmick was bound to fail shortly after it was introduced in March 2025. Chad Gable was the original wrestler playing it until he got sidelined with an injury, and WWE subbed Ludwig Kaiser in that role.

The fans majorly pushed back on the idea of making Ludwig Kaiser, a German-born wrestler, portray a luchador on WWE television. As some time passed, Kaiser brought Rayo Americano and Bravo Americano under his tutelage and formed the trio known as Los Americanos.
While they remained heels on Raw, the leader of the said stable turned face in AAA and had started getting massive crowd reactions in WWE’s sister promotion based in Mexico. Without a shadow of a doubt, he’s the most popular figure in Lucha Libre AAA right now. He’s even getting his murals painted, as one could see below.

El Grande Americano is seen with his sword that he rightfully earned after winning the Rey de Reyes tournament. However, the Gable-played OG El Grande Americano stole it from Ludwig Kaiser’s version of Americano after ambushing him during the Rey de Reyes presentation ceremony in March of this year.
Chad Gable, who believes he’s a victim of identity theft, recently invoked a couple of clauses for agreeing to the Mask vs. Mask contest with Ludwig Kaiser. The former leader of the Alpha Academy asked for no pre-match physicality. While that was expected, the OG Americano ticked his rival off by asking for the firing of his real-life girlfriend and now-former AAA correspondent, Andrea Bazarte.
The wrestling logic at this point calls for Gable getting unmasked this weekend to put an end to this rivalry with Kaiser. The latter is expected to continue doubling down on the El Grande Americano persona due to his immense popularity among the AAA audience.
