76ers Star Labels Victor Wembanyama ‘Most Unguardable’ Player in the NBA
Victor Wembanyama is going to be a problem for the New York Knicks even if they have enjoyed a week's more rest.

After Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals concluded, there was no doubt in the minds of basketball fans that San Antonio Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama had arrived.
Whether he won the championship or not, being able to dispatch the reigning champion Oklahoma City Thunder without any playoff experience was enough to prove that point.
Luka Doncic almost did the same a couple of seasons ago. But his reputation took a turn for the worse when he did not show up on the defensive side of the ball. The French phenom in this equation is no stranger to defense. In fact, being the only unanimous Defensive Player of the Year means a lot.
But what was evident in these Western Conference Finals was not just his effort on that side of the court. Rather, his offensive production was a feast to watch, especially in Games 1, 3, and five.
The man that’s on the Spurs right now… I can’t do nothing with a 7’8″ person… Guarding him is annoying because I tried to play physical with him, and he falls to the ground. I tried to use speed, he reaches around me… Not much you can do besides hope he missed.

This was the Philadelphia 76ers’ star’s response when N3on asked him who the most unguardable player in the league was. The moment he took the Spurs’ center’s name, the streamer understood that the answer was a no-brainer.
Philadelphia 76ers Andre Drummond went on a FULL RANT about how San Antonio Spurs Victor Wembanyama is the most UNGUARDABLE player right now in the NBA and broke down EXACTLY why there is LITERALLY nothing you can do against him 😳👀

Andre Drummond essentially laid out how he has tried to stop or score against Victor Wembanyama, but nothing he has done so far has worked.
Andre Drummond claims Knicks cannot hope to guard Victor Wembanyama
Andre Drummond has experience defending and trying to score against Victor Wembanyama. He has also seen his Philadelphia 76ers’ teammates and other players around the league try to do the same. Based on that experience, he said this to N3on.

I don’t think there’s an answer… He’s 7’7″ & can play like a guard.

This was the 32-year-old’s answer when the streamer asked Drummond how the Knicks could stop the Spurs center in the NBA Finals. The Sixers’ star believes there is no surefire method to guard Wemby.
NBA player Andre Drummond says the KNICKS have no chance of defending Victor Wembanyama in the NBA FINALS…😳👀

Since there isn’t, the former ninth-overall pick believes it is better to let Wembanyama do what he does and hope the Knicks have enough firepower to counter it.
Only then could they stand a chance of winning games and, eventually, the title. The two-time All-Star ended up talking about how Karl-Anthony Towns and the injured Mitchell Robinson will have a battle on his hands.
Victor Wembanyama and Spike Lee’s wish came true
Andre Drummond and N3on are both rooting for the New York Knicks in the upcoming NBA Finals. Even Victor Wembanyama once said something along those lines when he met Spike Lee.
Hey, I wanna see you guys in the finals, baby!
Spike Lee said
The Oscar-winning filmmaker said this to the French superstar while dapping him up. Hearing this, the 22-year-old center said:
I wanna see you guys!

NBA on Prime uploaded this exchange from the 2026 All-Star weekend, when the former No. 1 overall pick was playing for Team World.
"Hey, I wanna see you guys in the finals, baby!"

"I wanna see you guys!"
What did Spike Lee and Wemby know? 😅🔮

Prime spun this into humor, suggesting that Lee and Wembanyama did not know at the time of this exchange that they would finally meet in the NBA Finals.
Spike Lee and his band of staunch celebrity New York Knicks fans will do everything they can to get tickets to Frost Bank Center. It would not be as easy as when they infiltrated games in Philadelphia and Cleveland, but they will surely try.
If they do not manage to succeed, expect the 69-year-old to be ready to cheer against Victor Wembanyama when games three and four head to Madison Square Garden.
