Chase Elliott’s apology shows how violent the crash was
The race was red flagged because of the Bell crash, as there was severe damage to the outside wall. Many drivers including Chase Elliott was quick to check in on the TRD driver to make sure he is ok. The No:9 Chevy driver’s post-race apology showed how tough the incident was.

I just really, really hate that happened, first and foremost. I want to apologize to Bell and the whole 20 team. That was my fault.
Chase Elliott said after Michigan race.
Further talking about the point, he admitted that it was one of the violent wrecks he has seen in the time and admitted he immediately went to check on Bell knowing that things could’ve been worse. He reiterated that the incident wasn’t intentional from his side.
I mean, it was a huge hit. Huge hit for him. Pretty big hit for me, too. I just wanted to make sure he was alright and just tell him ‘I’m so sorry,’ because that was not at all my intention for that to happen.
Chase Elliott added.
The comments from the veteran racer are on point and shows how much he cares for his rival, as he is someone that has always been cordial with him on the track. It would be interesting to see how the Pocono race is going to playout for the duo in the coming days.
