Charlotte Flair is reminiscing about a memorable encounter with actor Tom Holland that took place during her reign as WWE Divas Champion more than a decade ago.

Speaking in a recent interview with Ring The Belle, the WWE superstar reflected on a photo that recently resurfaced online showing her posing with Holland as he held the WWE Divas Championship. The image was captured during a WWE promotional event in 2015, when Flair was beginning her rise to becoming one of the company’s biggest stars.

During the interview, Flair confirmed she vividly remembered meeting Holland and recalled that the encounter took place during an international WWE appearance. Although she could not remember the exact location, she said it happened in either Italy or Germany.

The photo has gained renewed attention in recent weeks given the enduring popularity of both Flair and Holland. At the time, Holland had yet to become a global superstar through his role as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Flair, meanwhile, was laying the foundation for what would become one of the most decorated careers in WWE women’s wrestling history.

The meeting came during a period when WWE was expanding its global reach through promotional tours and media appearances tied to its partnership with 2K Games and the annual WWE video game franchise.

As one of the company’s featured talents, Flair frequently represented WWE at fan events and promotional engagements around the world, making the chance meeting with the future Hollywood star a memorable moment long before either reached the peak of their fame.

Flair captured the Divas Championship in September 2015 and remained a central figure in WWE’s women’s division during a period of significant change for the company. Several months later, the company retired the Divas Championship and introduced the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 32 as part of the promotion’s Women’s Evolution initiative.

When asked about the segment, Flair said the decision was not hers to make. “My boss made me do it. I had no choice in the matter.”

The rivalry between Flair and Bliss has included multiple championship matches and storyline confrontations over the years. Despite their competitive history, the two later worked together as allies and pursued tag team success in WWE.

Flair was also asked whether she and Bliss had ever discussed a pointed promo from 2017 that generated significant attention among wrestling fans at the time. “I don’t think we have. I think what’s in the past is in the past. Let’s move forward.”

The comments suggest that both performers have moved beyond earlier tensions that were part of their on-screen rivalry. Since then, Flair and Bliss have shared television time as teammates, demonstrating a different dynamic from the one that defined several of their previous storylines.
