Dwyane Wade and his family have been dealt a huge blow in their personal lives. Wade has four children – two sons and two daughters. However, his eldest child, Zaire Wade, has put himself and his family in a disturbing situation.

On early Sunday morning, Zaire was arrested on three felony counts. He was booked by the Burbank Police Department in California. The three felony charges are felony domestic violence, criminal threats, and false imprisonment.

The news was first broken by TMZ. The news organization has reached out to cops for more information.

Dwyane Wade has been married to actress Gabrielle Union for 12 years and first started dating back in 2008. While the two share one daughter together, Zaire Wade is Dwyane’s son from his previous marriage.

Zaire has often been seen in public with Dwyane and was also seen partying during Udonis Haslem‘s retirement party in China. While the family has always been close-knit, Zaire’s arrest is a setback that could shake the family.

Based on the reports, Burbank Police received a phone call and were called to a home at 5:30 AM. The call was about a woman who was heard screaming. When the cops showed up at the house, they found Zaire and a woman with lacerations on her face and body.

It was reported that the injured woman was not transported to the hospital. The police also recovered a handgun at the residence, but no details of the owner of the gun have been made public. After posting a $50,000 bond, Zaire was released later in the day.

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office had not announced when or if charges would be formally filed. There has been no statement issued from Zaire or any other member of the Wade family yet.

Domestic violence charges are never a good look for anybody. It hangs over their heads for the rest of their lives as the public starts to view them differently. TMZ has tried to contact Zaire Wade since the charges but has not yet received a response.

However, the news went viral, creating a lot of buzz across social media as people made their feelings known.

Dwyane Wade has two children from his first marriage. After the divorce, he was granted sole custody of both the kids. Hence, the internet questioned his parenting after Zaire’s arrest.

Just like his father, Zaire Wade is a basketball player as well. He is currently 24 years old. He played senior high school basketball and decided to skip college basketball as he wanted to pursue a professional career directly. It was an unusual route as he skipped college basketball.

He was selected 10th overall in the NBA G League Draft by the Salt Lake City Stars in 2021. The team is an affiliate of the Utah Jazz. Coincidentally, Dwyane Wade became a minority owner of the franchise in the same year.

However, Zaire’s role remained limited. He made 13 appearances in the G League before an injury derailed his season. Soon after, he left the G League to continue playing basketball overseas. He had a couple of stints outside of the United States in South Africa and Macau.

Zaire never enjoyed an illustrious career like Dwyane’s. Zaire is currently a free agent, however, the recent arrest may cause him some problems heading forward. Till everything is investigated and resolved, it remains to be seen what happens with Zaire’s future.
