Skip Bayless just predicted the next phase of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding extravaganza. The veteran sports critic/analyst sees the newlyweds capitalize on the hype by adapting their special day into a movie.

On July 3rd, one day before Independence Day celebrations, the perimeter of the iconic Madison Square Garden was sealed off by local authorities for the “royal wedding” of Swift and Kelce. Stars from various fields arrived one by one to give their blessings to the new couple as they began their journey into married life.

Skip Bayless skipped the wedding. It’s unclear whether he received an invitation. So, he took the opportunity to take a sarcastic dig at Travis and Taylor.

Can’t wait for the theatrical release of the heavily edited, tightly scripted “behind-the-scenes” wedding movie, soon followed by streaming drop. The 26 mil they just donated to charities will seem like chicken feed compared to movie profits. Blockbuster wedding! Bravo!

Bayless tweeted

Bayless is correct. Swift donated roughly $23 million to various charities, including the City Harvest Food Rescue Center, Food Bank for NYC, New York Cares, Education Through Music, Answer the Call, Musical Mentors Collaborative, and After-School All-Stars New York, all based in the Big Apple.

Turning her special life moments into cinema won’t be a new venture for the Grammy winner. A montage of Swift’s Eras Tour journey—never-before-seen videos, rehearsals, and performances—was released as a movie in 2023. The movie has a 98% score on Rotten Tomatoes and an 8/10 grade on IMDb.

Onlookers outside MSG noticed some interesting signage near the establishment. There were “No parking” signs for a “film shoot” that was listed as taking place from June 20 to July 4. Another onlooker captured a large sign at MSG forbidding attendees from taking photos or filming.

Journalist Rob Shuter is quite sure a wedding documentary is happening down the line.

What she’s done is she’s filmed it herself. She’s paid for it, she’s paid for those crews, and she’ll probably edit it herself. And when she has a final product, she’ll put a ribbon on it, and then she’ll figure out what she wants to do with it.
