David Beckham is celebrating 27 years of marriage to wife Victoria Beckham with a heartfelt social media tribute reflecting on their life together.
On July 4, the former England captain shared a series of photos on Instagram documenting the couple’s relationship over nearly three decades. The carousel included images from their wedding day, vacations, family moments and David’s 50th birthday celebration.
He wrote, “29 years together, 27 years married & you have given me everything I could ever wish for…our proudest achievement will always be our family. I love you & Happy Anniversary @victoriabeckham.”
Victoria responded in the comments, writing, “Happy anniversary. I love you so much.” She later posted a recent photo of herself kissing David on the cheek as he smiled for the camera and wrote, “After 27 years of marriage, four amazing children and countless matching outfits, you’re still my everything. Happy anniversary!! I love you so much @davidbeckham.”
The couple began dating in 1997 after meeting at a charity football match. They became engaged in 1998 and married in 1999. They are parents to four children, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.
Friends from the entertainment and sports worlds also marked the occasion. Gordon Ramsay commented, “Happy Anniversary sending lots of love.” Eva Longoria added, “Happy anniversary to you guys!!”
Anniversary Post for David Beckham Comes Amid Ongoing Rift With Eldest Son Brooklyn Beckham
The anniversary celebrations took place against the backdrop of the Beckham family’s ongoing public estrangement from eldest son Brooklyn Beckham.
Earlier this year, Brooklyn released a six page statement confirming he had cut ties with his parents. He wrote, “I do not want to reconcile with my family,” and said he was “no longer” part of “Brand Beckham.”
In the statement, Brooklyn also alleged that his parents had attempted to damage his relationship with wife Nicola Peltz Beckham, pressured him over commercial agreements before their wedding and placed public image ahead of private family relationships. He further claimed they had continued speaking to the media about family matters, prompting him to address the situation publicly.
The family dispute has remained in the spotlight for months. Reports have also suggested Brooklyn has been unhappy with his parents continuing to reference him publicly on social media while the estrangement remains unresolved.
Neither David nor Victoria addressed the family dispute in their anniversary messages. Their posts focused on celebrating their marriage, which reached its 27th anniversary on July 4.
