Justin Bieber has been added to the lineup for the first ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show, joining previously announced performers Madonna, BTS and Shakira at the championship match on July 19.
FIFA and Global Citizen announced the expanded lineup on Wednesday, confirming that the Canadian pop star will perform during the 11-minute halftime show at New York New Jersey Stadium, where the 2026 FIFA World Cup final will be played. Reacting to the announcement, Bieber highlighted the charitable goal behind the event.
The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can. I’m grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it’s already helping expand access to education for children around the world.

Nigerian singer Burna Boy has also joined the lineup. He recently collaborated with Shakira on Dai Dai, the official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Speaking about his participation, Boy gave a heartfelt statement.
The FIFA World Cup is one of the few moments that truly brings the entire world together. To represent Africa on the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show is a privilege and a responsibility that I don’t take lightly. I’m honoured to be part of a performance that not only celebrates football and culture but also helps create greater opportunities for children through education around the world.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is serving as the curator for the production. Conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the PS 22 Chorus will also take part in the performance.
According to FIFA and Global Citizen, the halftime show will raise funds for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative aimed at improving access to quality education and football opportunities for children around the world.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino said the inaugural halftime show will “celebrate football, music and our shared values, ensuring a legacy that transcends the final whistle.”
The 2026 FIFA World Cup enters the quarterfinal stage ahead of the final entertainment spectacle
The announcement comes as the 2026 FIFA World Cup moves into the quarterfinal stage, with only eight teams remaining in the tournament.
Quarterfinal action begins on Thursday with France taking on Morocco at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Belgium will face Spain on Friday, followed by Norway against England and Argentina against Switzerland on Saturday.

The semifinal matches are scheduled for July 14 in Arlington, Texas, and July 15 in Atlanta. The third place playoff will be held on July 18 in Miami Gardens before the World Cup concludes with the final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The expanded halftime lineup means Bieber will share the stage with Madonna, BTS, Shakira, Burna Boy and other performers during the tournament’s championship match, marking FIFA’s first halftime entertainment show at a World Cup final while supporting the Global Citizen education initiative.
