Jannik Sinner defended his Wimbledon crown on July 12, defeating Alexander Zverev in four sets to claim his second consecutive men’s singles title at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

The victory made Sinner the first Italian man to successfully defend the Wimbledon singles title and placed him among the select group of players to retain the championship in the Open Era.

The men’s final also drew a packed Centre Court crowd featuring members of the British royal family and several high profile names from film, television, music, and sports.

Leading the Royal Box was Catherine, Princess of Wales, who attended as Wimbledon patron alongside Prince William and their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman returned to Centre Court after attending last year’s final. Jennifer Lopez was also present in a Ralph Lauren outfit paired with Back Vault x David Webb jewelry. Actors like Ben Stiller, Andrew Garfield, Tom Hiddleston, Rami Malek, Theo James, Liam Hemsworth, and Jason Isaacs were present courtside.

Meanwhile, more celebrities and actors, including David Tennant, Dustin Hoffman, Sienna Miller, Lily Collins, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Jenna Coleman, Marisa Abela, Kaya Scodelario, Letitia Wright, Florence Hunt, Elizabeth Debicki, Sarah Pidgeon, Celia Imrie, Steven Graham, Hannah Walters, and Nicky Hilton, were spotted during the championship match.

The guest list also included singer Raye, Grammy nominated artist Maggie Rogers, Cynthia Erivo, Mel B, and Jaafar Jackson, who attended his first Wimbledon Championships.

Several members of the extended British royal family were also present, including Lady Gabriella Windsor and Sophie Winkleman.

The celebrity attendance continued Wimbledon tradition of attracting prominent figures from entertainment, fashion, and royalty for the men’s singles final, one of the tournament’s marquee events.

Jannik Sinner strengthened his Wimbledon legacy with successful title defense

Jannik Sinner’s victory over Alexander Zverev carried historical significance beyond another Grand Slam trophy. The world No. 1 became the first Italian man to win and successfully defend the Wimbledon men’s singles title.

He also joined an exclusive Open Era group that includes Rod Laver, John Newcombe, Bjorn Borg, John McEnroe, Boris Becker, Pete Sampras, Roger Federer, and Carlos Alcaraz as players to defend the Wimbledon men’s singles championship.

The 24 year old has now won five Grand Slam singles titles, including the Australian Open in 2024 and 2025, the US Open in 2024, and Wimbledon in 2025 and 2026. His latest triumph also marked his 100th Grand Slam match victory while further cementing his position as the world’s top ranked men’s player.
