Several big names and global athletes such as Kevin Durant, Lionel Messi, Novak Djokovic, Tom Brady and more made their appearances at Fanatics Fest 2026 in Manhattan. The four-day event, which began on Thursday, has already seen the likes of LeBron James, Tyrese Haliburton, Jalen Brunson and many more athletes from different sports.
At the moment, the world is hooked on the FIFA World Cup final, which is set to take place on Sunday. The final will feature defending champions Argentina taking on Spain in a clash that will catch the attention of sports fans across the world.
Players and the coaches from both sides took time out to participate in a special all-star press conference. They were joined by hosts Kevin Hart and Rio Ferdinand. Brady, Djokovic and Durant were called on stage and took turns to ask questions to the finalists.
However, the most significant moment of the event occurred at the end of the Q&A session. All stars on stage got together as Durant took a selfie of all of them in one frame. It was the pinnacle moment of the entire event.

Lionel Messi will be playing in his third World Cup Final. The clash will see him lock horns with Lamine Yamal, who many believe is the successor to Messi’s throne.
The Fanatics Fest has seen a lot of different shows being hosted in the first two days. ESPN’s First Take, Mind The Game podcast, The Shop and so many more shows have been featured in the All-Star event. There are still two more days to go, but it is hard to see anything trump the photo of the sporting icons all in one frame.
Fans react to the selfie of Kevin Durant, Lionel Messi, Tom Brady and others
The photo had other big stars such as 2024 Ballon d’Or winner Rodri, Emiliano Martinez and rap sensation Travis Scott. It is the second iconic photo featuring Messi to go viral this week, after the 19-year-old picture of a young Messi, who was playing at FC Barcelona, giving a baby Yamal a bath, went viral a few days ago.
With the star-studded photo going viral, fans were quick to react to the iconic photo across social media.

The greatest selfie ever? It has to be up there.
Fans lauded the icons of different sports getting together for a selfie. Durant was the right person to click the photo because of his height and long arms.
Kevin Durant asked Emi Martinez what Sunday’s Final means to him
Novak Djokovic and Tom Brady were the first stars called on stage to ask questions. Both of them had questions for Messi. Meanwhile, Kevin Durant was called on stage in the end. Durant has been enjoying his time off and has been active on social media during the offseason.

While most questions were directed at Messi, Durant’s question was for Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez. The 37-year-old asked Martinez what Sunday’s Final means to him.
I got a question for Dibu down here. What would it mean for you if your country went back to back World Cups?
A surprised Martinez answered:
We’ve got a group of players and a group of coaches that are working incredibly hard every single day to try to bring happiness to my country. We’re going to give absolutely our best, with Leo, with the team that we have, to bring the World Cup back to my country and celebrate with our people.

It was the final question of the event before the iconic selfie. Argentina can be the first country to win consecutive World Cups since Brazil in 1958 and 1962.
