It is hard to keep track of the number of clubs that have contacted LeBron James since he became an unrestricted free agent three weeks ago. Even at this stage of his career, more than 10 clubs have tried to enquire about James’ future and made their pitches.

Many expected that the four-time champion would end his illustrious career with the Los Angeles Lakers. But James and his agent, Rich Paul, have hinted that he may have more than one year left in him.

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is the biggest name in Indiana today. But it looks like she is ready to give up her throne if it meant James would join the Indiana Pacers this year.

I’d put him on the Pacers just because it would be easy for me to watch him every single night. Especially if this is gonna be his last year or one of his last years playing in the NBA, and he was in the same city that I’m in, I would be at every single game, I would have courtside season tickets. But I don’t think the Pacers is gonna happen.

Caitlin Clark has established herself as the biggest star in Indiana. She shares a good relationship with James and has often been vocal in labeling him as her “GOAT”. But if James did end up joining the Pacers, there is no doubt that he would be the biggest draw in the state.

At the moment, James is in no hurry to make any announcements regarding his future club despite Adam Silver coming out and saying that he hopes a decision is made soon. James has not made any decision as of yet, and he prefers to take control of his own narrative.

Chad Buchanan on what is going on with LeBron James and the Indiana Pacers

The Pacers will be a team to look out for next season with Tyrese Haliburton expected to be back in action. After reaching the NBA Finals last year, the Pacers were one of the worst teams this year as Haliburton missed the entire season due to injury.

With James’ future up in the air, a number of players have thrown their pitches at him, and one of them was Haliburton. But the Pacers star later revealed that James was quick to shut him down on his recruitment plans. As a result, he backed out and did not pursue it further.

Pacers General Manager Chad Buchanan spoke about the chances of James joining the Pacers in the offseason.

If you’re expecting the LeBron to the Pacers announcement to come…it’s not coming. Every team made their pitch to Rich (Paul) on what they could offer, as did we. I can’t tell you where he’s going to end up, but it won’t be Indiana.

With a number of clubs still in the race for James, it looks like the Pacers can be ruled out. The GM revealed that there will be no announcement of James joining them this year.

Caitlin Clark hopes to see LeBron James play alongside Stephen Curry in Golden State

While LeBron James is heavily favored to make a return to the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Miami Heat, some still believe that the Golden State Warriors stand an outside chance to secure his signature. The Warriors were one of the first teams to show their interest in James after he became a free agent.

While speaking to the media, Clark revealed that if James did not join the Pacers, she would like to see him in Golden State alongside Stephen Curry.

If I had to pick a different team that’s maybe a little more reasonable and has been rumored, I would pick the Warriors. I think it would be really cool to see him and Steph team up together.

The NBA world did catch a glimpse of James and Curry playing together for Team USA during the 2024 Paris Olympics. They were at their absolute best together as they led their team to a gold medal. If James did join the Warriors, the hype surrounding the franchise would be off the charts.
