The Golden State Warriors have been plotting for a while what would have been impossible till a few years ago – Bringing in LeBron James to join forces with Stephen Curry. James and Curry have carried the league for nearly two decades and will be entering their 24th and 18th NBA seasons, respectively.

The potential move will see the two join forces for the first time at club level. The basketball world got a glimpse of the two playing together when they led Team USA to a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Sports analyst Stephen A. Smith was hyped up thinking about James and Curry playing together for the Warriors next season.

LeBron James and Steph Curry together in Golden State, if that happens, that’s the Beatles and Heatles all over again. I would remind you that Steph Curry – the greatest shooter god has ever created, that dude is still a superstar in this game. Ladies and gentlemen, LeBron James joins Steph Curry. Lord have mercy.

The two superstars have clashed against each other in several high-octane games in the past. They have faced off in four NBA Finals from 2015 to 2018. Their most recent matchup in the playoffs was in the Western Conference Semifinals in 2023.

However, the Warriors, who extended Steve Kerr‘s contract with a two-year deal, are looking to pull off the impossible by bringing in LeBron James to join Stephen Curry. The move is looking more likely than ever after James and the Los Angeles Lakers confirmed that his eight-year spell with them has come to an end.

With James in free agency, there are multiple contenders linked to the 41-year-old. After a second-round finish in the playoffs, James has shown that he can still play at a very high level at this point of his career. Despite pairing the two aging superstars, Stephen A. Smith believes the Warriors would be title contenders if the move happens.

Washington Wizards will not trade Anthony Davis

While LeBron James’ move to the Warriors is looking very likely, they even plan to trade for his former teammate, Anthony Davis. Davis had a rough time in his last two seasons. After getting traded to the Dallas Mavericks at the trade deadline last year, he struggled to make a name for himself in Dallas.

Following his struggles in Dallas, he was traded to the Washington Wizards at the trade deadline this year. While the Warriors are interested in him, it looks like the Wizards are not interested in letting the former champion leave.

The Washington Wizards are not interested in trading 10-time NBA All-Star forward Anthony Davis and are not listening to trade offers for him, a source told ESPN and Andscape. Another NBA team exec says Wizards GM Will Dawkins is a huge fan of AD.

Davis spent 5.5 seasons with James in the Lakers. They won that championship together in 2020 and had built a good relationship with each other. But it looks like the Wizards have planned a future with their big man.

Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat are the other two possible destinations for LeBron James

LeBron James has played for three different franchises in his career. He has delivered a championship for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and the Lakers. He may not be the player he once was, but there is no doubt that he can still play an important role in a championship-caliber team.

NBA insider Shams Charania reported that the Cavs and Heat are two other clubs interested in signing the four-time champion.

I’m told this is a happiness led decision for LeBron James. He feels like he needs to find his happiness. Wherever he lands in free agency It will not be driven by money… teams expect the Warriors, Cavaliers, the Miami Heat to emerge as some of the suitors for LeBron James.

It will be interesting to see where James will end up in the offseason. The NBA world eagerly awaits his next destination.
