LeBron James supports many athletes, no matter which sport or league they are in. In the WNBA, Caitlin Clark can claim to enjoy the most support from the Los Angeles Lakers superstar ever since she exploded in college.
The 41-year-old has been following her career from Iowa now into her third season in the WNBA, and has always cheered on or offered words of encouragement.
He was at the head of Clark’s support group when current and former WNBA veterans were showing pettiness and jealousy towards her apparent fan following.
The point guard has talked about that support and how James keeps pushing her to do better. At the same time, as she revealed while speaking with Malika Andrews, the King was a pillar of support last season, when things went south.
I think LeBron has just been there to support me more than anything. He understands the microscope that I’m under and the spotlight that’s on me… When I was hurt last year, he reached out and was like, ‘Is there any way I can help you? Is there anybody I can connect you with?’

The Indiana Fever superstar added that nowadays she and LeBron James bond over golf. Since they both admittedly are average at that, their conversations are pretty much on the same level.

Other than that, Clark was grateful to have the support her GOAT has given her. If his recent hype message on her season three preview was anything to go by, it seems the two already share quite a deep bond.
Caitlin Clark reveals how injuries ‘ate’ at her
Now that it is clear that LeBron James does not engage on Caitlin Clark’s social media posts just to be a part of that attention, the 24-year-old then went on to reveal how difficult it was for her to sit on the sidelines.

The toughest moments for me were the night before the games, you’re in your hotel room… and it’s like, man, my team is gearing up to play in game 5 of the semi-finals… and I know I don’t get to put my uniform on. That makes me emotional right now, like that ate at me. I hated that.

This shows that behind the consistent smiles and jokes, the two-time All-Star had to endure some of her darkest times. She has reiterated several times that she loves playing basketball more than anything.

When Clark had to sit on the sidelines, she was cheering on her teammates. But before coming to the game, the competitor in her was pained that she could not suit up and help her teammates.
Caitlin Clark wants to play Stephen Curry 1-on-1
Malika Andrews pushed Caitlin Clark to reveal the darker side of her path to becoming the most famous female athlete in the world. But before they went there, the ESPN anchor started their conversation on a lighter note.
MA: If you could play 1 on 1 with anybody, current, not current, who would it be…NBA, WNBA.

CC: Well, I would get killed by every NBA player but, like, Steph Curry.
MA: I thought you were gonna say, Payton Pritchard.
CC: Hah, Payton Pritchard, that’s a great answer.
The two-time All-Star broke into a bout of laughter, knowing how Andrews pulled her into the joke that has followed her since her debut as a contributor on NBC.

Even though Clark eventually acknowledged the Boston Celtics star’s abilities, she knows the running joke is that she felt disrespected when Reggie Miller mentioned it.
