San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York was arrested by police on Sunday while trying to pay $140 for s*x at an Ohio Trailer Park. York was booked into the county jail on two separate charges but later released after posting bail.
According to California Post and TMZ, York, 46, responded to an advertisement on Sunday. The website reportedly belongs to a known prostitution website in Columbiana County.
York arranged a meeting to have s*x for $140. When York arrived at the location, only to be busted by an agent from the Mahoning Valley Human trafficking Task Force. The police took him to a nearby station, where they confiscated his cell phone.
Per the Post, the police counted York’s cellular device as a criminal artifact. He was booked into county jail on two separate charges. The first charge was for engaging in prostitution and the second charge for possessing criminal tools.
The Columbiana County Municipal Court revealed that Jed York cut a plea deal with prosecutors. He pleaded no contest to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct along with one count of possessing criminal tools.

The court sentenced him to one day in jail and ordered him to pay $1,150 besides posting $5000 bail.

Veteran columnist Ann Killion stated that York’s arrest is a bad look for both the York family and the San Francisco Niners.
It’s a horrible look. It’s embarrassing for Jed York. It is about as tawdry a little situation as you could dream up. It’s it’s kind of unbelievable to me that someone could be that stupid.

Jed York filed for divorce months before his arrest
Jed York and Danielle Belluomini had been married for more than decade. The pair also have two minor sons (13 and 10). However, York filed for divorce in Santa Clara County on May 11, 2026.
Per the Post, York cited “irreconcilable differences” in seeking to end his marriage to Belluomini. The date of their marriage is listed as June 24, 2011, in the court documents, while the date of their separation remains undecided. York is reportedly seeking custody of their two sons.
York family became the owners of the San Francisco 49ers in 1977. Edward DeBartolo Sr., Jed York’s maternal grandfather, bought the team for $13 million, with his son, Eddie DeBartolo Jr.
However, DeBartolo Jr. ceded control of the NFC franchise to his sister Denise in March 2000 after being embroiled in corruption. Jed York became president of the club in 2008, until ascending to the owner’s throne in 2024. Per the Post, the York family is worth $8.5 billion.
