Good health is paramount to racer’s success in the in motorsports and for a championship contender like Tyler Reddick, one off health day could ruin all the momentum. Till recently there was one major challenge that held the 23XI Racing driver back from delivering his best consistently and that was not having proper sleep.

He was never able to wake up on the right time, be fresh in morning and there were times when his wife Alexa had to wake him up after he stopped breathing for some times. Recently the Daytona 500 champion was diagnosed with sleep apnea, and he sought remedy with Resmed CPAP therapy. It was life changing for the racer, as it helped him to be better prepared for weekends.

Looking back, I had sleep apnea symptoms for a long time, but I didn’t think it was something that could affect me. I noticed a difference after night one of using my Resmed CPAP therapy, and it completely changed the way I approach recovery, preparation and performance.

Tyler Reddick said about his condition.

Prioritizing his sleep health has helped Tyler Reddick to find a competitive edge that would help him in the long run to thrive in Cup. This helped 23XI Racing to bring a new partner for the veteran.  He is set to partner up with ResMed as the No:45 Toyota Camry sponsor for Bristol, Talladega and Homestead races.

I’ve realized that a competitive edge is built through the habits you commit to every day, and prioritizing my sleep health has become one of the most important. If sharing my experience helps someone else recognize the signs and take action, that’s a win.

Literally the first night I used it, it was a huge difference. It blew my mind. I could not believe that what I thought was normal was beyond not normal…It was really, really incredible how much it helped my day-to-day stuff as well. I’m a dad, and now I’m able to wake up in the morning and be sharp and tackle whatever happens.

Tyler Reddick said.

Further talking about the point, he highlighted how his whole life changed 180 with the diagnosis and it has made him a better driver. The life change was both beneficial for him on as well as of the track, making it the perfect package.

For me, it was such a 180 from what I’ve been dealing with, and it was like, holy cow, yeah, obviously, I think I had it in mind for trying to be, how can I just continue to find things that make me better as a driver?
