It is well established by now that WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark did not jump on the Kansas City Chiefs’ bandwagon when Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, and Travis Kelce started winning Super Bowls.
Hailing from next-door state Iowa, they are mighty proud of their college programs. But when it comes to professional gridiron football, the Indiana Fever star and her family have been rooting for the red, yellow, and white for as long as they can remember.
The organization knows that and brought along the point guard when she was a college phenomenon. Pictures with Rashee Rice, Chris Jones, and others are part of the team’s folklore.
Then, when her favorite musician happened to start and end up marrying the Chiefs’ tight end, her bond with the organization grew leaps and bounds. So far, Clark has made it a point to appear at their games and usually sits beside Taylor Swift in her husband’s luxury suite.
The three-time WNBA All-Star is still waiting for them to go and watch her play for her Fever in Indianapolis, but that is only possible next offseason. In the meantime, Clark has been busy promoting her upcoming signature shoe, the Nike Caitlin 1, which is set to drop on October 1.
Man, I got my new Sea of Red Caitlin 1s right here… God, I appreciate you, girl.
Andy Reid said
This video appeared on all Kansas City Chiefs social media pages, showing Coach Reid holding what is the only other pair of Sea of Red Caitlin 1s in the world. Caitlin Clark wore the other in her last game. This makes it the best marketing campaign she could do with her Chiefs ahead of launch.
Caitlin Clark gets serious marketing push with Chiefs colorway
Nike has released many versions of the upcoming Caitlin 1, and it is difficult to keep track of how many there are. But if Caitlin Clark had to get a major push from other sources, this Kansas City Chiefs-inspired Sea of Red colorway is going to go a long way.
She already has a Taylor Swift-inspired Friendship Bracelet edition that could become a fan favorite among Swifties. But if there was any doubt, this Chiefs version will resonate with the legion of the team’s fans. On top of that, she inadvertently received some hyped reactions from the team’s best players.
After Clark posted a ‘Screaming’ comment on the team’s official Instagram post, Travis Kelce followed up with a ‘Fire up’ reply. Soon, Patrick Mahomes joined in with a string of ‘fire’ emoticons.

Team heiress Gracie Hunt added an ‘Epic’ comment, after which other Chiefs players joined in to do their bit. It seems this could be the best marketing campaign the WNBA star could have received, where some of her favorite people in the world hyped her shoe.
Caitlin Clark could join Taylor Swift at Chiefs game again once WNBA season ends
Right now, Caitlin Clark is in the midst of wrapping up her third WNBA regular season. Once she is done with that, her focus will shift to the playoffs. If her Indiana Fever go all the way, her season will end on October 31 at the latest.

However, with her team not being good enough to last he distance, there is a chance the 24-year-old will find time early on to watch a Kansas City Chiefs game.
They are off to an impressive 2-0 start and are relatively healthy. By the time Clark arrives at Arrowhead Stadium, her Chiefs-inspired shoe will also be out on the open market.
Therefore, it would not be a surprise if she makes her way to Kansas City, Missouri, on October 18 when the Los Angeles Chargers arrive. With the latter’s struggles, there is a possibility that Caitlin Clark and Taylor Swift will be celebrating a win together.
