Like many celebrity couples, Jannik Sinner and Laila Hasanovic are pretty private when it comes to their relationship. The dating rumors started around the French Open last year, with Sinner confirming the same following his win at the Vienna Open.
The first tennis match that Hasanovic watched was the French Open final, which he played against his arch-rival Carlos Alcaraz. Hasanovic had not had much idea about the world of tennis, which is why she was very surprised when the epic clash ended after almost five hours and 30 minutes.
This, she admitted during her interview with Elle magazine, also speaking out about their relationship for the first time. Hasanovic talked about Sinner’s busy schedule and how living together wouldn’t make much difference, as he would be on the move most of the time due to the 11-month calendar.
Fortunately, I think Jannik and I have managed to create our own space where we can be 100% ourselves and a completely normal couple. We have a completely normal and stable relationship behind closed doors. We live in our own countries, but even if I moved in with him tomorrow, it would be long-distance, because he is at tournaments almost all year round.
Sinner, the World No.1, has been the most consistent player on the tour since the 2024 season, having won 20 singles titles from 25 finals, which also includes five Grand Slam titles. Hasanovic admires his dedication to his passion most.
I am in a relationship with someone who dedicates an incredible amount of his time to his passion, and I find that really inspiring to follow. At the same time, it is a world that I neither grew up with nor have previously engaged in.
Laila Hasanovic added
Alcaraz won the French Open final last year. The Spaniard saved three match points en route to defending his title. This year in Paris, however, Sinner suffered a physical collapse and lost in the second round. Alcaraz did not play due to a wrist injury.
Andre Agassi urges the ATP to make changes to the schedule after Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz’s injury-hit season
As mentioned before, Carlos Alcaraz skipped the French Open due to his wrist injury and went on to withdraw from Wimbledon as well. After a four-month injury layoff, he returned to competition at the US Open and lost to eventual runner-up Ben Shelton in the quarterfinals.

Jannik Sinner, after winning Wimbledon, skipped the Cincinnati Masters and the US Open. He has now also pulled out of the China Open. Amid their injury-hit season, Andre Agassi urged the ATP to make some changes to the calendar to give the players more time to rest.
What can be done to limit injuries? I think an off-season is useful. That said, some of these guys also get injured, frankly, because it’s so violent. Their way of playing. Look at someone like Sinner, who can hit the ball with exceptional power from both sides.
Andre Agassi said at the Laver Cup (H/T: Tennis365)
Alcaraz is competing at the Laver Cup in London. After the tournament, he will be in Tokyo for the Japan Open to defend his title.
You have to manage them, but I’d like tennis to stop every now and then, not just for the athletes but also for the fans. I don’t think we need to watch tennis all year round. I’d like to see a change in that direction.
Andre Agassi added
Because he skipped the Cincinnati and New York events, he now has a 1,810-point lead over World No.2 Alexander Zverev. Sascha won both the French Open and the US Open.
