The NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday at Kansas Motor Speedway witnessed some wild moments, including the las 122 wreck that ruined a promising day for Spire Motorsports’ Carson Hocevar and 23XI Racing’s Bubba Wallace. The incident was triggered by the 2012 Cup champion Brad Keselowski and that raised a lot of eye brows.

After the Darlingto race, where the veteran got spun out by the youngster, the No:6 RFK Racing Ford driver promised retribution. Some believe the racer was getting his revenge and he was asked about its post-race by Trevor Bayne.

The former champion refused to give a proper answer to the questions and accusations. He insisted that he had no role to play in the dramatic moment and asserted that the duo just wrecked Infront of him, though the footage clearly shows the Ford making contact with the No:77 Chevy.

I don’t know. They crashed.  I didn’t see what happened. They were in front of me and then they weren’t.

Brad Keselowski said post-race.

Later in the same conversation, he reiterated that he had no role to play in the duo making contact in the outside lane and collecting Erik Jones in the process. The veteran did admit that the narrative that he took revenge is a good story for the media.

From what I’m told, they made some contact there with the outside lane; I don’t really feel like that had anything to do with me… Makes for a damn good story.

Brad Keselowski asserted.

Carson Hocevar speaks out on the Kansas wreck

Talking about the incident post-race, Carson Hocevar pointed out that the incident was the result of the No:54 Car of Ty Gibbs and him going for the same lane, while fighting for positions. The only positive he has on the day was how fast they were.

Yeah, I mean, it just looked like me and the 54 [Gibbs] were just kind of going for the same spot. He was in my blind spot, so I didn’t know he was shooting that middle. So, yeah, I guess on me, but we just ended up wrecking. After that, our car was destroyed. So, yeah, not a lot of fun, but it was it was good to have speed at the start. Overall, I’d much rather be fast and wrecked and slow. So, yeah, something to build on, I guess…It looked like we just kind of met. I was trying to run middle, so was the 54 [Gibbs]. We all just kind of met. So, yeah, we just wrecked.

Carson Hocevar said.

Furthermore, he admitted that he was okay with getting wrecked as being fast and getting involved in incidents is better than being slow. He is okay with the whole drama and is ready to move on, to fight for the race wins next week.
