King Green was appreciated by the MMA community for bringing much needed excitement to a lackluster UFC 332 fight card.

UFC 332 is a fight card mostly consisting of rising stars, and Bobby “King” Green remains the oldest fighter of the numbered card. He will take on Esteban Ribovics, who is almost ten years younger than him. The interaction between Green and Ribovics remains the most entertaining aspect of UFC 332 so far.
Earlier this week, thee duo exchanged words during the pre-fight press conference. It was a hilarious interaction that saw both of them talk trash in English and Spanish. During the official weigh-ins, Ribovics missed weight by 0.5 pounds. Nevertheless, the fight will go on as planned.
The Argentine fighter forfeits 20 percent of his fight purse and is no longer eligible to receive a performance bonus at UFC 332. However, that was not where the problem was. Soon after missing weight, Ribovics and his team clashed with King Green outside a building.
It all started when Ribovics and his team came out of a building and Green’s teammate, Arnold Barboza Jr., used the money sign to point out the weight miss. Once the Argentine fighter started moving forward, King Green pushed him back to get some distance.
Soon, both teams started chirping and conversations focused on being a professional and making weight. Things didn’t escalate further as Green and his team stood firm while Ribovics’ team started to leave.

For the ceremonial weigh-ins, Green and Ribovics exchanged some words. However, Dana White kept his hands on Green to avoid any further confrontation.

King Green is 40 years old and is on a four-fight winning streak. This winning run started with a split decision win over Lance Gibson Jr back in December 2025. In 2026, he has three wins with all three of them coming by way of a finish.
The UFC veteran finished Mexican prospect, Daniel Zellhuber, in the second round at UFC Mexico City. He choked out Jeremy Stephens at UFC 328 and TKO’d Terrance McKinney at UFC 329 to gain momentum in the lightweight division.
Meanwhile, Ribovics is coming off a TKO win over veteran Edson Barboza. The Argentine fighter has youth on his side, but the savvy veteran skillset of Green could present problems for him at UFC 332.
King Green says Octagon is his home after fighting for over 13 years
King Green made his UFC debut back in 2013 at UFC 156. Despite facing multiple setbacks, the veteran refused to retire and kept fighting. He will compete for the fourth time this year at UFC 332.

Ahead of the fight, the California native revealed his feelings on competing inside the octagon.
The octagon has gotten to be home, it’s home now. I just feel so comfortable now, it’s crazy how these walls have changed around me, at first they were scary little walls and gates, now it became walls of happiness and memories – it’s home now.

If the veteran can get past Ribovics, the UFC matchmakers will have to give him a ranked opponent next. Being ranked in the UFC at 40 years of age is a rare phenomenon. It remains to be seen how far Green can go in his final years as a fighter.
Dana White backs King Green for future BMF title shot
The BMF title’s value took a hit when Charles Oliveira used a grappling-heavy style to defeat Max Holloway at UFC 326. Fans as well as other fighters didn’t like the idea of a BMF champion using his wrestling skills all throughout the fight.

Recently, fans have wondered about King Green getting a BMF title shot after an impressive run of wins. A reporter emphasized that a BMF is one who fights for the fans, usually a high-pace striking battle.
During the UFC 332 pre-fight presser, the reporter asked Dana White about Green’s chances of a future BMF title shot if he can get past Ribovics.

White agreed that Green was BMF material and didn’t disagree with what the reporter said. All the veteran need to do is get a win at UFC 332 and a bright future likely awaits him.
