Fans Slam Journalist for Invading Jannik Sinner’s Privacy After Cheating Claims on Girlfriend Laila Hasanovic – “Most Useless Gossip in History”

Jannik Sinner‘s love life has once again become a topic of discussion. Sinner is currently dating Danish model Laila Hasanovic.

Sinner and Hasanovic made their relationship official when the tennis ace publicly called her his girlfriend after winning the Vienna Open last year. Sinner won’t compete in the Austrian capital this year, as he has been nursing a knee injury that eventually forced him to end his 2026 season.

Before dating Hasanovic, Sinner was with WTA ace Anna Kalinskaya. Sinner confirmed the split in May last year during a press conference at the Italian Open.

Recently, Italian journalist Gabriele Parpiglia took to Substack and claimed Sinner had been cheating on Hasanovic, saying he had slid into the DMs of a well-known beauty queen. The title of the Substack post read: “Sinner’s Backstory: While he was with Laila Hasanovic, he wrote a DM to a well-known Miss.“

The five-time Grand Slam champion last appeared in action in the Wimbledon final. He defeated Alexander Zverev in four sets, defending his title. Sinner then skipped the Canadian Open.

Before the Cincinnati Masters, it emerged that Sinner had been struggling with a knee injury. He withdrew from the Cincinnati Masters as well as the US Open, did the same for the China Open and the Shanghai Masters, before announcing his decision to end his season.

The World No.1 is set to lose his top spot to Zverev this year. His rivals at present are in Shanghai, where the tournament got underway on October 7. Valentin Vacherot is bidding to defend his title, while Novak Djokovic is aiming to win the title for the fifth time. It was Sinner who beat him in the final back in 2024.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion, in fact, is chasing his second consecutive title, following his China Open victory. Djokovic clinched the ATP 500 title in Beijing for his seventh career title.

Novak Djokovic wants to reach out to Jannik Sinner

Djokovic said Sinner made the right decision by ending his 2026 season early. In his pre-tournament press conference, the Serb said he plans to reach out to the 25-year-old and that he understands how difficult it is to come back after a major injury.

I haven’t been in touch with Jannik since he got injured, I just saw the news two days ago. So I’ll reach out to him to see how he’s doing. As someone that has been through some major injuries in my career… I had a surgery, and it was the only big surgery that I had. So, I’m aware of how difficult that is making that comeback.

Sinner played Nole twice this year. At the Australian Open, Sinner suffered a five-set defeat to Djokovic in the semifinals. It was Djokovic’s first win over Sinner after five consecutive defeats. He lost in straight sets when they met in the Wimbledon semifinal.

Then it’s mental, you know. You’re on the court, and you’re thinking, ‘Am I really completely healed and free to make this run?’ I mean, for him, if it’s a knee. Obviously, it’s affecting everything, it’s affecting every single movement.

Novak Djokovic added

In Shanghai, Djokovic will face Hubert Hurkacz in the opening round. He last won this title in 2018.
