23XI Racing veteran Bubba Wallace is at Talladega Motor Speedway this weekend with one goal, redeem himself and secure his maiden win of the season at the track that delivered him his first ever win in the top-tier. Last week he came close to a victory, before a speeding penalty ruined his chances with just 13 more laps left in the race.
One key highlight of his return to Dega is his sponsor. His Toyota Camry is featuring Kroger Health and Nuvaxovid (a COVID vaccination) emblazon paint scheme, which enough to irk the haters of the No:23 TRD driver. There have many ill-faithed comments on social media targeting the star driver and he took a hilarious dig at them ahead of the weekend.
Yeah, it’s been fun to get to know them and the Kroger Health side of things. Get your flu shot. People are gonna lose their minds over the COVID-19 stuff. But for us, it’s about building opportunities for people to be more educated on getting their flu shots and taking care of their health.
Bubba Wallace said at Dega.
Further talking about the point, the champion driver highlighted how one key reason behind him choosing the sponsor is to spread the word about health to the racing community. Later Bubba Wallace also took a dig at his haters, highlighting how the new sponsorship was also a hilarious way for him to piss off the haters.
And moving forward with that. Everyone else can make up their own minds. But we’re all in it together to help everybody’s health…Just feeding right into them, just pissing off the keyboard warriors, man. It’s why not, right? Here we are.

Bubba Wallace is excited about the Talladega race
Despite last Sunday’s disappointment, Wallace has momentum on his side and his past form on Superspeedway will give him the edge as well. He determined to get back to winning ways this week at Talladega.

Yeah, I wish we could not be at a speedway to re-rack them, and not have to deal with the uncertainty of a speedway. But with that being said, we’ve been really fast at our speedway stuff.
Bubba Wallace said.
Later in the same conversation, the veteran racer highlighted he has moved on from last weekend and is ready for this week’s challenge. He wants to avoid making small mistake like the incident that cost him the victory last time.
Also, excited to get on track, and kinda, what’s the word I’m looking for? Basically, just throw that last weekend behind, and re-rack it. As simple as it is, it’s frustrating to be that strong, and lead laps, and have a shot, and then just make one small error that cost us. We’re here, though, six days later.
Bubba Wallace added.
The comments from the star driver are on point and shows how the whole No:23 team is working hard behind the scene to get back to winning ways. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout for the star driver in the coming days.
