Carlos Sainz has been in extremely good form in the last few races and ahead of the French Grand Prix has stated clearly that he is getting close to his level best and is optimistic about doing more than what he has so far done at the Ferrari team this season.

Carlos Sainz was able to win the first Grand Prix of his career at Silverstone and at the Red Bull Ring was running in second place before his car came to an abrupt halt with a mechanical issue.

As the season has progressed, the Spaniard has become more comfortable behind the wheel of the F1-75. In the first phase of the season, the 28-year-old was not able to get close to the blistering pace of teammate Charles Leclerc.

However, the smooth operator has significantly picked up his performances in the last few races and is extremely confident about heading into the second leg of the 2022 F1 season.

Carlos Sainz was able to finish ahead of Charles Leclerc in the Drivers Championship last season but with new generation cars, took a little bit more time in getting used to it.

Carlos while shedding light on his 2022 season so far has said, “I think we’ve been doing a better job these last few weekends.

I think since Monaco… Monaco was already a bit of a turning point, fighting there for pole position. Also in Baku, we fought pole. In Canada, we fought for the win.

I’ve been picking up a bit of momentum. I wouldn’t say I’m 100 percent there yet. I think there are things still to improve as we saw in the race in Silverstone.”

Definitely, I feel a lot more in touch and like it could come anytime again soon.”

Carlos Sainz has admitted that while his performances have improved, there are still a few areas where he and the team can do better. The upcoming Grand Prix is at Paul Ricard and given what Sainz has said about his performances, the French Grand Prix could prove to be another spectacle where the Spaniard spreads his magic and wins another Grand Prix.
