Paul Scholes was asked to answer 18 questions from former teammate and friend Gary Neville for the latest video of The Overlap. The players had a great time together on the pitch sharing the dressing room in the club and national colors. Neville wanted to take this opportunity of reuniting with his friend and ask him some rapid-fire questions for his channel.
Neville asked Scholes several questions such as his favorite band, favorite actor, and the favorite goal he has ever scored. He also asked him about his funniest teammate, and who would he choose in order to take a last-minute penalty kick to which Scholes replied, “Ruud van Nistelrooy. All day long.” One question that stood out to be the most competitive was which current young player is on his way to being the best?
Paul Scholes settles the Kylian Mbappe-Erlind Haaland debate

Among the pile of questions that Neville asked Scholes, there was a question about which player is currently the best in the world. Scholes picked two of the best players namely: Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland referring to them as the new superstars of modern football and that in a few years’ time they could absolutely rip apart every record there is to break.
“I’d go Kylian Mbappe over Erling Haaland. I think there’s more to his game. He’s not just an out-and-out center-forward, is he? He can go wide, he can dribble past people, he’s quick, and he can play one-twos. Haaland f***ing amazing, don’t get me wrong but he’s a goalscorer isn’t he?
