Years ago, quarterback Aaron Rodgers experienced an ugly split with his family which was largely blamed on his then-girlfriend, Olivia Munn. But the NFL quarterback recently spoke in her defense by clearing the misunderstanding that Munn had anything to do with his estrangement from his family.
In the upcoming book titled “Out of the Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers,” journalist Ian O’Connor explored the intricate dynamics between the New York Jets star quarterback and his family. First and foremost, Rodgers cleared the tainted image of his former girlfriend saying that he does blame her for the rift between him and his parents.
O’Connor revealed that the damaged relationship between Rodgers and his family was not because of Munn’s public comments about his parents, Ed and Darla Rodgers’ relationship. But it was because they were upset about Rodgers and Munn’s relationship, which combined with several other things brought them to this stage.
Given her devout religious views, Aaron's mother disapproved of premarital sex and was opposed to her middle child sharing a hotel room with his girlfriend even as an NFL player.Read the book excerpt published in The Daily Mail
Rodgers’ strained relationship came in the light of the day when his brother, Jordan revealed in 2016 that the veteran quarterback had cut ties with his family. Later on, his father confirmed the estrangement, in an interview with the New York Times.
