Arenas is now known to followers of all ages as a humorous podcaster who covers everything in and around the NBA. However, back in his playing days, Arenas was an Adidas athlete and wore custom-made shoes designed by the brand.
Additionally, in a recent appearance on his self-titled show, Arenas made a bold claim. The former Wizards star asserted that he designed his shoes alongside the Adidas creative team. Moreover, he also claimed that he revolutionized the Adidas hoop sneaker design by making slight tweaks to the logo and its placements.
The Adidas sign was traditional, so I said...your logo is too big it takes up the artwork of my shoes. In addition, Arenas also spoke about James Harden‘s signature Adidas shoes. He asserted how Adidas got creative after he suggested changing the logo, and that they did the same with Harden’s later on. It’s important to note that, in 2022, Adidas began retro-releasing Arenas’ signature shoes. Nevertheless, Arenas’ revolutionalizing Adidas’ hoop sneaker design wasn’t something the NBA community thought of until his recent admission.

Anthony Edwards, Team USA’s star, has recently received a lot of attention for a variety of reasons. First, Edwards won a gold medal with Team USA at the Paris Olympics. Second, Adidas “gifted” Edwards with a unique version of “Gold AE1s” sneakers following the Gold medal win against Team France. This was a kind gesture by Adidas towards one of the upcoming stars.

Despite not winning an NBA championship, Edwards remains one of Adidas’ most recognizable professional basketball players. Not only that, Edwards is widely loved across the country.
