Sasha Banks knows how to keep the timeline moving. Since getting release from WWE to eventually debuting for NJPW, there wasn’t a single day in between which went without her chatter. Call it whatever you want, but she’s done some revolutionary work towards the upliftment of women’s wrestling.

Also, despite making headlines with NJPW, she ain’t stopping anytime soon. As claimed by herself, Japan is just the beginning in the global tour of Mercedes Mone. With that being said, some heavy rumors have been swirling around regarding her AEW arrival, as of late. According to them, she’ll end up becoming Saraya’s mystery tag partner on next week’s AEW Dynamite in Los Angeles.

However, the latest from Dave Meltzer has discarded any such fantasy. As per the report, Banks is not in LA and won’t be joining AEW. The reason given behind this was the long-term commitment that she’d have to agree at, which she doesn’t wants. If this comes out being true, Saraya will be joined by Toni Storm against Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker next week.

In addition, Meltzer dropped a significant update on the backstage perception in WWE about The Blueprint. In what will sound something unreal, the WWE officials believe that Sasha Banks will eventually return to the company. Just to add, she’s there in Japan to do a couple of matches. WWE higher-esques have strong impression about Banks’ “nothing to do” status with AEW.

Banks who’s known as Mercedes Mone in NJPW, entered the Tokyo Dome with a purpose. She went straight to the IWGP Women’s Champion KAIRI to make a statement. Upon proclaiming herself as the CEO of that women’s division, Mone challenged Kairi Sane (in WWE) for a title match.

This bout has indeed been made official now. On February 17th, at NJPW: Battle in the Valley event, Mercedes Mone will square off against KAIRI for the gold. Addressing the media after the first night of Wrestle Kingdom 17, the Standard claimed that this will go down as the best match in Stardom history.

For those who are intrigued to know the amount she was paid for the Antonio Inoki memorial show, it is just startling. If some stats are believed, Sasha Banks received the highest sum by any individual in Japan’s history. Furthermore, her deal isn’t a usual one. In fact, it’s more like a per appearance contract.
