Oleksandr Usyk is on a roll, after defeating Dereck Chisora behind closed doors at the SSE Arena in London, to win the Inter-Continental Heavyweight Title. A win against Chisora, has brought Oleksandr very close to a title shot. He might very soon find himself fighting Anthony Joshua or Tyson Fury for the title. The Ukrainian has been seeing a meteoric rise of late, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if he goes on to even stop AJ or Fury!

I am coming for you, Anthony” – Usyk calls out Anthony Joshua

Speaking at the post-fight interview, “Three“, Usyk said about his performance on a scale of 10 before going on to say, “Chisora a big guy, a hard guy. I was expecting a fight like that, I was expecting even a tougher fight. My plan is to go to my home, maximum time with my family. Training and improving myself. Not just world champion, the undisputed world champion (is my aim).

Usyk was also asked about a possible bout with British Boxer Anthony Joshua, for which Usyk in his usually funny tone said, “I am guessing that’s what I want but I can’t guarantee it 100 %. Anthony, how are you? I am coming for you, Anthony.”

Usyk is definitely on a path to greatness, but the opponents he will be facing as he moves up the ladder will be on a whole another level. Do you think the Ukrainian has got what it takes to be the heavyweight champion?
