Since returning to WWE, Cody Rhodes has popularized the phrase “finish the story.” After Rhodes’ win at WrestleMania XL, Jey Uso completed his own story on last week’s Raw when he captured his first singles title. Recently, the Undisputed WWE Champion revealed which other stars he would like to see ‘finish their story.’
While speaking on Good Karma Wrestling, Rhodes surprisingly named Dominik Mysterio. The American Nightmare admitted that the 27-year-old isn’t the most likable star on the roster. However, this didn’t stop him from heaping praise on Mysterio’s character. According to Cody, it is difficult not to be invested in “Dirty” Dom and his work. Hence, he will be looking forward to seeing his journey over the next decade or so.
The third-generation star debuted in 2020, appearing alongside his father, the legendary Rey Mysterio. For a few years, fans raised concerns about Dom, as many felt that he was overshadowed by Rey. This changed at Clash at the Castle 2022 when Dominik turned on his father and sided with The Judgment Day.

Dom is somebody that if I’m looking at a story I want to watch and I know that I can tune into WWE in 15 years, I expect to see him in a completely different light. Nothing like what we have now, a completely different light and a full evolution of his character.

Dominik instantly became the most hated superstar on the WWE roster and continues to be to this day. Along with Cody Rhodes, several legends have also expressed their appreciation toward Dom’s character work.
The Modern Day Latino Heat has already won tag team gold and the NXT North American Championship on multiple occasions. With a promising future ahead, Mysterio will surely look forward to becoming a multi-time world champion.
Dominik Mysterio will have to face his fears at WWE Bad Blood
SummerSlam 2024 will be remembered as the night The Judgment Day imploded. Dominik Mysterio turned on his Mami, Rhea Ripley, and joined forces with Liv Morgan. The 27-year-old star has been crucial to the rivalry between Ripley and Morgan.
Although he is a blessing for Liv, Dom continues to be a thorn in Ripley’s side. Therefore, the latter took extra measures to ensure he would stay out of her upcoming match at Bad Blood. On last week’s Raw, The Eradicator announced that Mysterio will remain suspended in a shark cage during the bout.
The Aussie star later revealed that Dom was afraid of heights and purposefully added the stipulation due to that reason. Following this announcement, it is safe to say that the odds are now in favor of Ripley walking out as the new Women’s World Champion.
