Although he has been absent from WWE programming for a few weeks now, Seth Rollins has been spotted attending multiple NFL games throughout his hiatus. He recently attended a Chicago Bears game. He is a huge fan of the team and was devastated when they lost. Regardless, he was back for more football on Sunday. The Visionary attended the SNF game between the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills.
The WWE X account posted a video of Rollins hyping up the crowd before the game in Baltimore. Some of the audience members began singing the iconic crowd chant often heard during his entrance and theme song. Although he isn’t booked for the event as of now, The Architect promoted WWE’s upcoming Bad Blood PLE, which will be held on October 5th.
Prior to the game, Rollins had also expressed his love for football and said he was going to be a guest on Sunday Night Football to talk about the game. When the former WWE Champion attended the Bears-Colts game last week, he was hilariously dumped on the field by T.Y Hilton. Thus, fans were expecting more hilarious interactions this week.
WWE also uploaded a clip of the Raw Superstar hanging out with Rodney Harrison. The former football player joked that Rollins could easily play the role of a linebacker. The 38-year-old laughed it off, saying that he was not buffed up enough to do so. Jac Collinsworth then stepped into the frame and suggested that the two of them have a match.
Rollins has been absent from WWE programming for nearly two months now. He was hit by six Tsunamis from Bronson Reed and was written off TV. There are no updates on his return to WWE as of yet.
Vince Russo criticizes Seth Rollins, claims that he does not understand his character
Seth Rollins is a master at re-inventing himself and his character throughout the years. Whether it is being a part of The Shield, a scaredy heel with The Authority, The Beast Slayer, The Monday Night Messiah, or his current self, he has wonderfully pulled off all his gimmicks. However, former WWE writer Vince Russo does not appear to be a huge fan.
Speaking on Legion of Raw, Vince Russo acknowledged that the WWE Universe is interested in Rollins and often sings his songs during his entrance. However, he did not understand what his character was apart from the theme song.
One week on TV, his character will be portrayed as a comedy character, trolling other superstars and laughing with the WWE Universe. He would be spotted doing his silly dances and wearing goofy outfits to the ring.
However, the next week, he would suddenly get highly serious and begin cutting impassionate promos, talking about his personal morals and beliefs. This side of his often comes out when he is dealing with a personal adversary like CM Punk.
