Anthony Edwards caught mocking Jamal Murray after the Wolves beat the Nuggets

The Minnesota Timberwolves have drawn the curtains on the Denver Nugget’s playoff run in the 2023–24 NBA season. The Wolves beat the Nuggets 98-90 to secure a spot in the Western Conference finals, where they will meet Luka Doncic’s Dallas Mavericks

After the game, however, Anthony Edwards trash-talked the Denver Nugget’s guard, Jamal Murray.

I had Jamal in handcuffs!

Murray, despite being in “handcuffs,”  scored an impressive 35 points in the final game of the series. But his efforts weren’t sufficient to take down the Wolves, who are the best defensive team of the year.

If we look at how Jamal Murray fared in the series, we see that Murray has an average of 18.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.4 assists over the course of seven games. By looking at these figures, there is no denying that Edwards did limit Murray to a certain extent.

After sweeping the Suns, the Wolves could limit the Nuggets to a score of under a hundred points four times in the seven games of the Western Conference semi-finals. This says a lot about the defensive capability of the Wolves and why Anthony said what he said.

Charles Barkley and Anthony Edwards have a hilarious interaction after Game 7

During a post-game interview, moments after the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the last season’s champions, the Denver Nuggets, Anthony Edwards and NBA legend Charles Barkley had a hilarious exchange of words that has set the social media on fire.

I have not been to Minnesota in probably 20 years.
In the interview, Barkley said to Edwards

To which Anthony Edward’s response was “Bring ya a**.” Barkley and the crew will be traveling to Minneapolis to cover the Western Conference Finals for the 2023–24 NBA season, where the Wolves will take on the Mavericks.

It seems that Barkley’s comments don’t justify his memory, as he was in Minneapolis in 2019 for the NCAA final four. Anthony Edwards’s quick and simple response to Barkley has the internet giggling, and some Wolves fans are even asking their franchise to make a “Bring ya a**” t-shirt.
