The 2025-26 season marks a fresh start for the Texas Longhorns. With Quinn Ewers’ departure, the team now rests on Arch Manning‘s shoulders. Coming from a family widely deemed to be football royalty, Arch has never had to worry about getting good advice because his uncles, Peyton and Eli, are Super Bowl winners and two of the best quarterbacks to play in the NFL.

The upcoming season is crucial for the young quarterback, as it will determine if he can step up and take charge of a football team. Manning has shown promise, finishing his last season with 939 yards and 9 touchdowns with a QBR of 87.5. He came close to Ewers’ level last season, with many fans vouching for him to start late in the season.

Fortunately, Manning’s upbringing has been disciplined. He has a work ethic similar to his uncles, but with the Longhorns’ best receivers gone, he will face an uphill battle leading the team through the SEC. Arch has been taking a lot of tips from his uncle Peyton in the run-up to his first season as a college starter.

I am very proud of how hard he has worked. Looking forward to watching him play. He has put in a lot of time, and he has been patient. Looking forward to seeing him out there. He has got a good head on his shoulders; he doesn’t need my advice. He is obviously focused on school and football. To all these college QBs, my advice is to enjoy the journey, enjoy the college experience…that’s what’s important on the football field.

That is the same piece of advice that the five time NFL MVP handed down to Arch, who was present at the Camp, but in a counselor’s role. The young quarterback remains unfazed by the pressure. It is not surprising to see, considering Arch has known the weight that his last name carries since childhood.

Arch Manning hopes to be the next pro-ready quarterback to be drafted

The quarterback is now living the ultimate dream. This is the journey he has trained his entire life for, and it’s Archie-time in Texas!

Many questions remain unanswered about his game. Will Arch Manning be good enough to lead the Longhorns to the National Championship? Can Arch Manning prove that he can be consistent just like his uncles? Can Arch be the next Jayden Daniels or CJ Stroud and make an immediate impact in the NFL?

The quarterback has grown immensely under Steve Sarkisian‘s guidance. A full season as the starting quarterback will put Arch’s potential as a future NFL starter out there. Analysts are excited and certain that the 21-year-old can follow in the footsteps of his uncles. He remains the highest-rated quarterback prospect in college football.

Manning has had time to learn from Quinn Ewers and his experiences. He is being hailed as the best college quarterback since Tim Tebow. That is a two-time National Champion, so the stakes are high. His uncles are confident that the nephew has the potential to join their ranks in terms of greatness. What separates him is that he is the first mobile quarterback in the family, with the strongest throwing arm in comparison to Peyton and Eli.

Last season, he ran for a 67-yard touchdown run against UTSA. This scene resulted in some fans receiving shock because the words ‘mobility’ and Manning seldom could be used in the same sentence. Arch represents the next generation of quarterbacks, mobile yet accurate, and it will be exciting to see him in action at Texas.
