Tyler Lockett, being a devout Christian, suppressed his temptation of intimate encounters with women before turning 30. The NFL wide receiver who left the Seattle Seahawks in the summer to sign with the Tennessee Titans had intercourse for the first time after marrying his former girlfriend and now wife, Lauren Jackson.
Before the launch of his poetry book Reflections, Lockett attended ESPN insider Adam Schefter’s podcast. During the interview, he spoke about his faith and a secret that only a few individuals were privy to.
I have a girlfriend [Lauren] and she understands what I’m about and loves God as well. She’s cool with being able to wait until marriage. So, for me, as long as somebody understands what they’re getting into and respects it, that’s all that matters.

Four years later, in July 2023, Lockett married Lauren in a private wedding. Several of his former Seahawks teammates, including Russell Wilson, DK Metcalf, Geno Smith, and Bobby Wagner, were present for the special day.

On May 23, twenty-five days after moving from Seattle to Tennessee, Lauren gave birth to her and Tyler Lockett’s first child, daughter Londyn Rose Lockett.
“Londyn Rose Lockett. God thank you for this beautiful blessing. You always keep your promises.

Lockett signed a one-year $4 million deal with the Titans. After Tyler Boyd left Tennessee, the Titans required a veteran head in the locker room. Rookie quarterback Cam Ward can breathe a bit easier with Lockett as one of his receivers.
Tyler Lockett grew up a Titans fan
Lockett was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and played college ball for Kansas State. However, he supported the Titans from his earlier days. The reason behind the NFL Minnows was that they had drafted Heisman Trophy winner and Texas legend Vince Young.

I became a Titans fan when the team drafted Vince Young. I enjoyed watching Vince Young, Chris Johnson, and Kenny Britt. I loved watching Cortland Finnegan play—and fight—every single game. You had Keith Bulluck at linebacker, Albert Haynesworth at nose tackle, and Michael Griffin. It was really fun.

The All-Pro wideout even traveled from his home to Nashville to watch the Titans play the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game in 2009. The Titans lost the game because of rookie Joe Flacco.
When asked about how he feels about wearing the same jersey as Young, Lockett replied that he was very excited to meet new people and learn the game play.
I really enjoyed being in Seattle! I met so many great people and captured so many great memories! The 12’s really make this place meaningful! Although, my time on the Seahawks may have run its course I’m thankful for everything!!God gets all the glory forever!!!! pic.twitter.com/cywZBDhOVR

Lockett left Seattle with the second-most receptions in Seahawks history, behind legendary Steve Largent. He racked up 661 receptions for 8594 yards and 61 touchdowns, aside from averaging 25.1 yards per punt and scoring two kickoff return touchdowns.
The Titans are in full rebuild mode. After drafting Ward, they further added his former Miami teammate, Xavier Restrepo. The Titans are in the AFC South, one of the weakest divisions in the conference, but it will still be tough for an inexperienced team to gel quickly and get positive results. They kick off the 2025 NFL season by traveling to Mile High to face the Denver Broncos.
