The Gunners secured a dramatic stoppage time win over Leicester City in the Premier League, on Saturday. They beat Leicester 4-2 to move level on points with the reigning EPL champions Manchester City, at 14 points from six matches in the top half of the table.
Arsenal started the match on a high note, grabbing two goals in the first half. Gabriel Martinelli opened the scoring for the Gunners in the 20th minute, helped by a cross from Jurrien Timber. He then assisted Leandro Trossard’s slotted finish at the 45th minute mark. However, the Gunners received a major scare as James Justin’s second half brace lifted Leicester City back into the match. The Gunners were on course to a second consecutive draw, after the match against Manchester City last week.
After multiple attempts to score a goal failed, Trossard once again found the back of the net from a corner in the 94th minute to help the Gunners retain their lead. Later on, Kai Havertz’s 99th minute goal sealed the match for the home side. The win helped Arsenal move to the 3rd position on the EPL table. Both teams currently have 14 points from six matches. City remains ahead on goal difference, and sits just a point behind league leaders Liverpool.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta responds to Pep Guardiola’s demands for clarity over ‘dark arts’ claim
Mikel Arteta made his first attempt to calm the situation between him and Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, over a war of words last week, after a heated 2-2 draw between the two sides. Arteta, who once worked under Guardiola, went on to state that he admired and loved him.
Arteta stated that he loved and respected every staff member at Man City, owing to his four-year stint at the club, and expressed gratitude for everything Guardiola had done for him. He had previously claimed that the Cityzens were using ‘dark arts’ to win matches, to which Guardiola angrily demanded clarity from the Spaniard.
In an attempt to pacify the situation, Arteta also added that he shared a wonderful relationship with the Manchester City board, management and ownership, and praised Guardiola for his immense hard work.
