The women’s individual all around artistic gymnastics at Tokyo Olympics is shaping up to be one of the most interesting events. The top 24 individuals from the qualification rounds will compete in the finals of the event. There is however, a cap of 2 athletes per NOC for the women’s individual all around, regardless of how many ever athletes from that NOC compete in qualification. The gymnasts will be divided into 4 groups of 6 according to rankings. The first and highest ranked athletes will begin their first rotation on vault.

The second group will start on the uneven bars, while the third group will start on the trickiest apparatus, the balance beam. The fourth and final group will start on the floor. There will be four rotations, and all athletes will perform on all four apparatuses. The final scores at the end of the rotations will determine the ranking of the gymnasts in the women’s individual all around finals.

Sunisa Lee of USA qualified second, while Angelina Melnikova finished fourth; both looking finish at the top of the podium. ROC’s Vladislava Urazova qualified in fifth, and Belgium’s Nina Darwael rounded off the top 6 of the women’s individual all around.
