Netizens lash out at RJ Malishka for ‘inappropriate’ behaviour during an online interaction with Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra

RJ Malishka and Co. find themselves in the firing line after a video that shows them dancing for Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra, before an online interview, went viral. The RJs of Red FM could be seen dancing to the tunes of ‘Uden Jab Jab Zulfen Teri’ during an online meeting with the Olympic champion.

Neeraj Chopra scripted history at the Tokyo Olympics by winning the nation’s maiden track and field medal. In his maiden Olympic campaign, the 23-year-old ended India’s 121 year-long wait for an Olympic medal. While the nation is yet to get over his historic feat, the RJ’s moves during a videocall to interview him, have majorly been deemed inappropriate.

Malishka took to Twitter to share a video of the incident where she could be seen dancing along with her female colleagues. Sharing the clip on Twitter, she had written, “Ladiesssss..Yes I got the hard hitting, deep answers too but..Take the first 4 secs before the cam moves to the zoom call to guess who we are dancing.”

The Twitter users didn’t mince their words to call out the RJ and her team for such unprofessionalism. Some rightfully pointed out the fact that Neeraj, apart from being an Olympic champion, is an Army officer and deserves respect for his service to the nation.

Neeraj’s campaign for the year is over. He will be back in action in 2022 and will be resuming training next month. Earlier, the ace javelin thrower had to leave a welcome ceremony in his village midway as he felt uncomfortable. Ever since returning from Tokyo, Neeraj has no been fully fit and has been suffering from a high fever.
