Australian Open 2021 Draw: These are the Top 10 seeds in Women’s singles
The draws for the 2021 Australian Open Men and Women Singles players were released today via youtube. The Australian Open is going to take place as scheduled. The first round of the competition will begin on 8th February. Tournament boss, Craig Tiley has announced that in spite of the chaos during the pre-events, the organizers are committed to giving the viewers and the players the best possible experience.
Here are the top players to watch out for in the competition in the women’s single division. These are based on the ATP rankings as they stood on 1st Feb.
Top 10 Women’s singles seeds for Australian Open 2021

- Naomi Osaka
- Sofia Kenin
- Elina Svitolina
- Karolina Pliskova
- Aryna Sabalenka
- Bianca Andreescu
- Petra Kvitova
- Serena Williams
Ashleigh Barty is the top-seed and will be in action at her homeland after a year-long hiatus. Romanian Simona Halep is the second seed who will aim for her third Grand Slam title. Naomi Osaka, who will look to back up her U.S Open 2020 win is the third-seed. The defending champion, Sofia Kenin, will enter the event as a favorite because of her previous performance on the fourth spot. The fifth seed, Svitolina, will look to bank on her incredible form from 2020.
Furthermore, Serena Williams is the 10th seed as Kiki Bertens has withdrawn from the tournament.
