WWE is in a booming period. After having successful events in both WWE and NXT, the company seems to be impressed with its talents. One of the names that has been rising on the scene is Roxanne Perez. Perez has been the NXT Women’s Champion for over 150 days. A recent report has suggested that WWE is quite happy with the Prodigy.
According to Fightful Select, WWE is impressed with the heel character of the 22-year-old. The reports suggested that the current NXT Women’s Champion has exceeded the expectations of the company. Perez has been making a mark as one of the all-time greats of NXT, and the Stamford-based promotion is “incredibly thrilled” with this.
Moreover, the Prodigy won her Women’s Championship at Stand & Deliver in Philadelphia. She defeated Lyra Valkyria to become a two-time champion. The 22-year-old has been a defending champion ever since. The Prodigy is the second woman to Iyo Sky with the most wins in NXT history.
Furthermore, she is going to clash with Giulia at the first episode of NXT in October for the NXT Women’s Championship. The champion is expected to drop her title at the show. Thereafter, she is speculated to make her anticipated debut on the main roster. She has already been praised by a number of WWE stars and is likely to have a bright future in the company.
Roxanne Perez issued a message ahead of her match with Giulia
Giulia came into the ring this week to issue a challenge to Roxanne Perez. She made it clear that her goal is to become the NXT Women’s Champion by dethroning the Prodigy. Following NXT, Perez has finally given her response to the actions of the former NJPW Champion.
Speaking on the Masked Man Show, the 22-year-old said that she respects the charisma of the Japanese superstar. However, the Prodigy claimed that she is not letting this championship go off her hands anytime soon. Therefore, the 30-year-old will be facing a defeat in her first match on NXT.
But I hope they know I’m not scared. I’ve held this twice already, and I’m not going to hold it a third time, because I’m not letting this go, alright?Roxanne Perez via The Masked Man Show
Moreover, Perez has been the face of NXT Women’s Division. Although she has been outspoken at times, she has been undefeated as the champion in the ring. It is going to be interesting to see the future of the young star in the company after having such an incredible start.
