Battlegrounds Mobile India, AKA, is gearing up for its first league tournament in the country. Krafton has announced ‘Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021’ as their eSports tournament on July 15 and today the registration goes live. But the first tournament organised by Krafton was ‘Launch Party’ featuring popular streamers and professional players. The tournament was won by Team Snax(IND) and the tournament has made a fortune for the officials in terms of peak viewership.
This time they are coming up with a brand new esports tournament “Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021.” The tournament boasts a massive prize pool of 1 CR INR and the tournament goes on for three months. The registrations for the BGIS 2021 have commenced today and a video was uploaded regarding the tournament starring 8Bit Thug, Ocean Sharma, the Experiment. The registration starts today and ends on August 1 and the in-game qualifiers start on August 2. Let us see how you can register your squad for the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021.
Battlegrounds Mobile India Series registration (step-by-step guide)
Step 1: Open any web browser and search for Battlegrounds Mobile India eSports” and click on the first page it appears. Otherwise, click here to get redirected to the official website of BGMI esports.
Step 2: Click on ‘Register Now’ to proceed. There will be three various steps in the process, namely, Team Details, Captain Details, Player Details.
Now, players have to fill in all required information such as team name, team owner name, valid mobile number, email, city, etc. Players should check on the box given at the specific place if the team captain is the owner.
Step 3: Secondly, under Captain Details, players have to fill in such as name, age, gender, email, character id, in-game name, valid ID proof, valid mobile number, city, and state.
Step 4: Thirdly, Under Team Details, fill in the same details as you did under captain details for each player of your team playing.
Step 5: Before clicking on submit, make sure you double-check all details entered and click on Submit.
Upon successful registration, the player will receive a confirmation email. If they further want to make any changes in the entered details, a separate link will be provided under the confirmation email. BGIS 2021 Tournament Format
In-game qualifiers
Starting off the tournament, in-game qualifiers will be conducted from Aug 2 to Aug 8, in which 15 matches are played. 10 best games will be considered for the further process of each team. The Top 1024 team will qualify for the next round i.e., Online Qualifiers.
Online Qualifiers (3 Rounds)
Online qualifiers are conducted from 17 Aug to Sep 2 where it is divided into three sub-divisions, namely Round 1, 2 3. 1024 teams are classified into 64 groups and they will play 2 matches in round 1. Top 512 teams will be qualified for the second round. Round 2 will feature teams qualified from Round 1, and these will play 2 matches on reserved dates. The top 7 teams from Round 2 will qualify for Round 3.
Round 3 will feature the top 224 teams qualified from Round 2. These teams will play along with 32 invited teams which are seeded into 16 groups. The top 4 teams from each group will qualify for the Quarterfinals. 64 teams will qualify for Quarter Finals
Quarter Finals
Quarter-Finals will be conducted from 16 Sep to 26 Sep. 64 teams will be seeded into 4 groups and each group will play 6 matches on specified dates. Top4 teams from each group will qualify for Semi-Finals. 24 teams will qualify for Semi-Finals. Remained teams will play in the loser bracket. Remained 48 teams will be seeded into 3 groups. Each team will play 6 matches on specified dates. A total of 8 teams will qualify for Semi-Finals (Top 2 in the overall standings and 2 from most finishes from each group).
Semi Finals
Semi-Finals will be conducted from 30 Sep to 3 Oct. 16 Teams from Quarter Finals and 8 From Loser Bracket will be divided into 3 groups and will compete against each other in a round-robin format. A set of 6 Round Robins will be played by each group. The top 16 squads with the highest cumulative points will move towards the Grand Finals.
Grand Finals
Grand Finals will be conducted from OCT 7 to OCT 10. 16 teams from Semi-Finals will play 20 matches over a time period of 4 days. The table topper of overall standing based on 20 matches performance will be the champions of BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA SERIES 2021.
