Becky Lynch put her Women’s World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Liv Morgan at the King & Queen of the Ring PLE in Saudi Arabia. The match got chaotic, and The Man ended up being screwed out of her title. After failing to re-capture her title in a rematch on Raw, she seems to be going on a hiatus from WWE.

Becky Lynch shared a backstage photo of her on X. The photo shows her walking out of the building, indicating that she is taking a break from the company. However, the caption above the photo promised fans that there was more to come in the future for her and that she was not done with wrestling yet.

The 37-year-old’s title defense in Saudi Arabia saw interference from “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio. The former NXT North American Champion allegedly came out to screw Liv Morgan out of her shot at the title. He slid a chair into the ring for Lynch to use, although she refused. The challenger took advantage of the opportunity, delivering a DDT to the champion on the steel chair. Further, she picked up the victory with an ObLIVion and became the new Women’s World Champion.

Lynch got a rematch for the Women’s World Championship on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. This time, the match took place inside a Steel Cage to prevent any outside interference. Regardless, the match still saw involvement from Dominik Mysterio, with JD McDonagh, Finn Balor, and Braun Strowman joining the fray later. Amidst the chaos, the Irish wrestler ended up losing the match and will be gone for the time being.

There has been a ton of speculation regarding the contract of the former Women’s Champion with WWE. Although her husband has re-signed with the company, no public announcement has been made about her status yet.

According to a report by Fightful, The Man fought her last match under her current contract on the latest episode of Raw. Her contract with WWE will expire this weekend, and there are no plans in motion for a renewal. Lynch will supposedly be taking a break from wrestling in the meantime, perhaps to spend more time with her husband, Seth Rollins, as he recovers from injury.

Reportedly, Lynch was already going to take a break from wrestling after her WrestleMania XL match against Rhea Ripley. However, she was asked to come back when the latter got injured and was eventually crowned Women’s World Champion.
