Amidst a hiring spree that’s still ongoing in WWE, there are quite a few names who’ve departed the company of late. Adding to that list is WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix, confirmed PWInsider. Her last TV appearance came way back in February last year. She teamed up with her husband, Edge, aka Adam Copeland, to battle the duo of Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley at the Elimination Chamber.

The babyfaces picked up the win. And after that, Phoenix was written off the storyline. During Edge’s beef with The Judgment Day, Beth was heavily factored into the shows. At one point, she was believed to be leaning towards a one-on-one match with Rhea Ripley. However, that’s out of the window now that The Glamazon’s WWE contract has expired. But what does she do next?

There’s a fair chance of her heading over to AEW now that Adam Copeland is there too. The Rated-R Superstar is currently nursing a fractured tibia that he incurred at Double or Nothing pay-per-view in May. He immediately hit the gym following a successful surgery.

However, it’s unknown at this point when he’ll make his return. In the meantime, his better half, Beth, can be a great addition to the naive but uber-talented AEW women’s division. However, that depends on Phoenix and whether she even wants to hang out in the ring anymore.

She’s already 43, but chiseled as ever. If Tony Khan manages to bring her on board as an in-ring performer, that might do wonders for his relatively young roster. With Mercedes Mone starting to pick up steam with her villainous cadence, AEW would only benefit from having someone as experienced as Phoenix in the mix too.

Bobby Lashley and MVP have also ran out of their WWE contracts

One of the biggest stories coming out of WWE over the past week has been Bobby Lashley’s contract expiration. To add fuel to the fire, he’s yet to sign a new one, even after being offered a deal.

Chief Content Officer Triple H was asked about The All Mighty’s status. Speaking to the Mail Sport, The Game called it just a part of the process.

He cited other sports signing talents, their deals running out, and their eventual release. Hunter did confirm that Lashley’s situation is an ongoing affair.

Another one of the latter’s close allies, MVP, is also seemingly done with WWE. He recently posted a long note about his second run being extended, unlike it was meant to be.
