The rivalry between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao might just not be over. The two boxing legends have an interesting venture ahead year after their boxing match.

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are undoubtedly two of the biggest figures in the sporting world. The two legends came together in the year 2015 to light up the combat sports world with their legendary boxing match. Floyd and Manny still hold the record for being part of the richest boxing match in the history of the sport.

Mayweather retired from his professional boxing career in the year 2017 and Pacquiao, who retired very recently are looking to join their hands together to play a charity basketball match. Fans are excited to see the two legends back together. However, basketball would not have been their first choice of sport.

What Floyd Mayweather had to say about taking on Manny Pacquiao in basketball

Ahead of the multi-division champion, Gervonta Davis, and Issac Cruz’s fight on December 5, Floyd spoke to the media and revealed the news about the basketball match. “Me and Pacquiao actually I think we are going to play basketball in the Philippines. That’s coming up soon, I think January. We’re going to play a little bit of basketball,” said the superstar Mayweather.

Both Pacquiao and Mayweather are huge fans of basketball and also have shared their moments in the courtside of NBA games. According to Mayweather, Floyd and Manny won’t be the only superstars part of the charity. NBA players are also invited and will be part of the basketball game.

“We are going to take some guys out there, we have got some former NBA players and a couple of AND1 players, so it’s going to be interesting,” said Floyd. Manny is also currently running for the presidency in his country, the Philippines.
