“I want Tyron Woodley to work with us,” Floyd Mayweather offers to give T-Wood training ahead of his exciting clash with Jake Paul
Floyd Mayweather and Tyron Woodley
One of the GOATs of boxing, Floyd Mayweather is all in to help the debut pro-boxer Tyron Woodley train ahead of his clash with a Paul brother.
Woodley is set to face YouTube boxer Jake Paul in an anticipating main event fight of upcoming Showtime boxing pay-per-view. T-Wood is a former champion of the welterweight division in UFC and this will be his first attempt at pro-boxing. To make things even more exciting, the former champ is offered a training camp from Floyd Mayweather. Floyd is keen to help Woodley beat Jake Paul. Jake and Floyd recently had the famous “gotcha hat” feud and that must’ve been the driving factor for this.
In the media scrum ahead of his fight with Logan Paul, Mayweather said, “Well, give me Tyron Woodley. I make sure I get in camp and train him for this fight. I want Tyron to come to Las Vegas and work with us.” Floyd will fighting Jake’s older brother Logan on June 6th in front of a packed crowd in Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. And on August, Tyron will be fighting Jake.
Tyron Woodley agrees to train with Floyd Mayweather
Soon enough, Tyron was asked about this offer by Floyd and the former UFC champ said he would never turn down such an offer. Woodley regards Mayweather as the greatest boxer of all time and he is all in to train with him ahead of his first boxing match. “They just texted me, let’s do it,” Woodley said. “I just talked to him today so for sure, why would I not train with the greatest boxer of all time? He’s already my dog and we’ve been talking about training anyway, so for sure. I’m definitely going to take him up on that.”
Tyron is confident that he knockout Jake Paul. The YouTube boxer is 3-0 and caught the world by surprise when he KO’d former Bellator champion and Olympic wrestler, Ben Askren in the very first round. But this is the first “real” striker that the Paul brother is going to face. His previous bouts have been against fighters that weren’t known for their standup skills. We could expect updates from Tyron and Floyd of them training together very soon.
