Canelo Alvarez has made some claims about his former stablemate Ryan Garcia. Ryan is one of the emerging talents in boxing and is one of the top boxing personalities in the world. Ryan also has a huge social media following with around 9 million followers on Instagram. However, despite all this, Canelo believes it would be impossible for Ryan to beat Gervonta Davis in a boxing match.

Gervonta is currently one of the top boxers in the world and is among the world’s best active lightweight fighters in the world. Garcia has been calling out Gervonta since his victory against Rolando Romero in May. Both fighters have engaged in a battle of words on social media and Garcia has expressed his desire to fight and knockout Davis in a match.

Ryan will face Javier Fortuna on July 16 and has indicated his plans to fight Gervonta next. Canelo, in his recent interview, was asked about the fight between the two lightweights and he believes Gervonta Davis will beat Ryan in a boxing match right now. Canelo said: “I don’t think so, not yet. If he put his mind in boxing and tries to learn everything, he can do a lot of things. He has talent.”

Ryan Garcia and Canelo Alvarez used to be teammates before both parted ways, and their relationship deteriorated. However, Ryan has continued to talk about his former teammate and recently gave his predictions for Canelo’s upcoming fight against Gennady Golovkin. Canelo will face Gennady for the third him in his professional career on September 17 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Both fighters have fought each other twice and Canelo has won the rematch while the first fight was a split draw. Canelo recently suffered a loss against Dmitry Bivol and is now looking to end his unfinished business with Gennady. In and recent interview with Dazn Boxing, Ryan Garcia choose Gennady as a potential winner in the rematch and he said: “I feel whoever loses that fight will have to retire for sure. I feel like I think GGG is going to have an amazing fight someway, somehow. Obviously, there’s Canelo, but I just have a sense that GGG is gonna have a performance of a lifetime. I’m gonna say GGG.”
