Chris Eubank Jr. visited the Carrington training facility before the ‘all or nothing’ clash against Liam Smith on Saturday night. Eubank’s rematch bout against Smith has his reputation and pride at stake rather than just a world title. Receptionist Kath Phipps greeted Eubank when he arrived at Carrington.

Subsequently, she presented Eubank with a brand-new Adidas away jersey with the number seven on it. Eubank compared football and boxing in his tour and said he would love to work with a team. Eubank said, “My experience has been that you’re in there on your own. Obviously, you have your coach and you have the guys who you spar, but once the bell goes it is not like when the whistle goes in football.” (H/T- manutd.com)

Furthermore, he mentioned how boxing doesn’t involve teamwork, but a team remains the key to success in the sport. Liam Smith exerted heavy pressure on Eubank from the beginning of the fourth round and landed a massive left hook that led to the knockdown. Subsequently, Eubank stumbled and attempted to get back on his feet. However, after the match again resumed, Smith swiftly ended the fight with a straight right to the head.

The fight greatly disappointed the British boxing legend Chris Eubank Sr.’s son. Furthermore, before this fight, Eubank had never dropped to the canvas or had his fight stopped by the referee. After the fight, he was seen attributing his loss to an illegal elbow blow to the head. In his post-fight interview in January of this year, he stated the same, and his coach supported this.

Recently, Smith responded to this claim and confronted Eubank about it at their rematch press conference. Eubank appears ready to redeem himself, but fans are anticipating what he would say if he loses again. Furthermore, if Eubank wins this fight, he may bring back talks of fighting Jake Paul.
