Paul is all set to fight Hasim Rahman Jr on August 6th inside the Madison Square Garden. Rahman replaced Tommy Fury as the ‘Love Island’ was denied entry into the United States. Recently, Paul made a tweet in order to defend himself from the criticism he is getting for having a rehydration clause in his fight against Rahman Jr. The clause prohibits Rahman Jr to not to weigh above 214 pounds on fight night.

Paul gave the example of the upcoming fight between Conor Benn and Eubank Jr in which Benn has suggested having a rehydration clause. Paul made a tweet and explained that there is nothing wrong in adding such a clause as it will prevent the heavier fighter from gaining more advantage.

After Paul made that tweet about Benn and Eubank about how it’s the right thing to do, Eubank took this opportunity to set up the next fight for himself.

The former WBA Interim middleweight champion suggested to Paul that they should get into the ring against each other. Eubank mentioned that he will be fighting at 160 pounds and Paul can come at any weight he wants. The fighter also explained that the winner of this fight can go up and fight Canelo Alvarez. He also assured that he will show up for the fight unlike Tommy Fury. He said :

Yo @jakepaul once I deal with Benn & you take care of Rahman how about me & you go a couple rounds. I’ll come in at 160 you come in at whatever weight you want… Winner gets CANELO 😎 & don’t worry I ain’t no Tommy Fury… if I say ima do something, it gets done.” On his official Twitter handle.

It was quite an unprecedented move from Eubank as nobody expected him to call out Paul. But at the end of the day, Paul is definitely one of the biggest stars in the current boxing scenario. It’s evident that the pay-per-view event featuring both of them will do a great business and this could be the main reason for such an attempt.
