Logan Paul and Dillon Danis had a high-profile boxing match that took place earlier this October. Logan Paul defeated Dillon Danis via disqualification in their six-round heavyweight grudge match. The fight ended in a mass brawl, which led to Danis being disqualified and Paul being declared the winner.

Popular comedian Andrew Schulz was present in the audience and he had a pick of his own. When asked about who he was supporting in this fight, Andrew said: “Dillon” and went off laughing. It was not clear whether Schulz actually was siding on the MMA fighter’s side.

The fight went as it went and Logan Paul emerged victorious. Later in the locker room of Logan Paul, the people present began to yell “get him out,” as Schulz entered the room. Of course, all of this was done in jest. Andrew Schulz shares a long-drawn friendship with Logan and each has made their appearance on each other’s podcasts.

However, Schulz did address the lawsuit Logan’s fiancee Nina Agdal had filed against Dillon Dinos. The comedian termed the lawsuit as ‘corny’ as Logan would have every chance to avenge her in the ring and he did.

Fast-forward to WWE, Paul cheekily claimed that his win was so dominant that it led to Danis being released by his fight league. Just days following Dillon Danis’ defeat at the hands of Logan Paul, Bellator MMA decided to part ways with the fighter. Danis has been a part of Bellator since 2018, participating in two fights under their banner. His most recent fight with the promotion occurred in 2019, resulting in a submission victory that bumped up his MMA record to 2 wins and 0 losses.

The exact reasons why Bellator MMA severed ties with Dillon Danis remains a mystery. However, the most plausible explanation appears to be his underwhelming performance against Logan Paul. According to reports, Danis had to pay a hefty penalty of $100,000 to Bellator for the privilege of fighting Logan Paul.
