Conor Benn’s legal troubles continue as his proposed bout with Chris Eubank Jr., has not been sanctioned by the governing body of the United Kingdom’s professional boxing. The UK Anti-Doping Agency (UKAD) is currently looking into two failed drug tests taken by Benn last year. As a result, the British boxer is still under investigation. Hence, the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) will not sanction the fight until he is cleared. Subsequently, Benn made an appeal about this to the NADP, which was successful.
As a result, the NADP lifted Benn’s suspension, which had prevented him from competing in the UK. Things appeared to be going in the right direction for Conor Benn after this announcement. However, things took a turn since the UKAD and the BBBofC appealed against the decision that NADP passed. The boxing journalist Michael Benson reported the news, stating:
The BBBofC and UKAD have WON their appeal against the NADP’s decision to lift Conor Benn’s suspension/clear him to fight.

Hence, according to several reports, BBBofc and UKAD’s appeal got passed, which means Benn will still be unable to enter the ring in the foreseeable future. Benn has maintained his innocence and claimed that he failed the tests because he accidentally consumed a substance.
However, the BBBofC and UKAD have asserted that he should not be allowed to enter the ring until the matter is cleared. Furthermore, the governing bodies have raised questions over how the substance was accidentally consumed. In addition, both the UKAD and the BBBofC declined to respond to the new verdict.
Conor Benn remains unfazed after the verdict
A member of Benn’s team has confirmed that despite the new ruling Benn is still positive. Furthermore, they revealed that no suspension orders have been issued and he is still available to fight.

After the BBBofc appeal was passed, the British boxer took to his Instagram story. As such, he uploaded a selfie of himself, in which he appears to be sweaty after training hard. Benn wrote that his work ethic is unmatched, and he is blocking out the noises and staying focused.
The British boxer appears to be working hard regardless of these hurdles. It also reflects on how he is preparing for his next potential fight. If Benn is not allowed to fight in the UK, there is a possibility that he will fight Manny Pacquiao in Saudi Arabia.
In case you missed it!
