Demetrius Andrade suffered the first defeat of his professional boxing career at the hands of David Benavidez. ‘Mexican Monster’ Benavidez poured the pressure on Andrade as the rounds went on. This forced the corner of Andrade to stop the fight by the end of the sixth round. Benavidez jumped out of the cage during the victory celebration and shared a moment with Mike Tyson. Tyson was cage-side at the event.

The fight began with Andrade controlling the bout in the first two rounds. However, Benavidez shifted the momentum from the second half of the third round. Andrade came back in the fourth round but was floored by Benavidez with a right hand. That was the shift in the momentum of the fight. Round 5 was full Benavidez, and so was round 6. That ultimately forced the corner to throw in the towel, making Benavidez the victor.
